I haven't kept up with Miles much with the exception of the first few months of his run after Ultimate Peter's death, I liked him well enough but he didn't grab me the way Ultimate Peter did and my interest just sort of dropped off, so I'm not really aware of anything that's been done with the character in the comics since. Why exactly has the character seemingly become so disliked lately?
I have no issues with Miles, as long as they don't use him to replace Peter. The only question is, what do they call him, when Peter is still around? Didn't Miles get brought over into the 616 Universe in the comics? Are they both known as Spider-Man now?
Last I checked with the second Spider-Men mini he was simply called Spider-Man. The Ultimate cartoon named him Kid-Arachnid.
So to answer all these Especially killer Mcqeen's question miles isn't diliked it's more of mixed of both and it has more do to do with marvel not letting him have an orginal name of his own. butthe same thing happend with Spider woman jila carpenter the cooler spidserwoman before she took on the Arakne and became current new madam web.
the thing they should have had them have theorown super hero code name from the jump as Spider aziz mentioned inthe ultimate spider man TAS they game miles the name Kid-Arachnid.
the have yet to give name to him self .
truth be told I don't any has an issue with a new heroes on the scene (be side the racist's but that's another animal all together) but alot of people don't like their heroes being replaced Ever and this is especial true of the silver age fan base sadly. yeah their the one that repeadedly stop reading come back and are shocked at certain change's.
I've always view thing's this way say a character wants to make name change forthemself and cool. if they want someonbe else to take on that name it's always cool to have them pas on that name to that new upcoming character saying they havce their blessing to take the name. if that former is taking ona new role inthe MU then do so. and if they are taking a new name thenb do so. simple as that.
if theirno and it's just the new up & coming her took on the name and the former didn't give thenew hero the name well we're all inthe situation of that new character that took on the name never being accepted cause of that none pased on super hero code name . and I 'd rather it done the proper then to continously see argued about cause it wasn't ended on page with the orginal hold of the super hero code giving the blessing in the first place .and they are ok and that's all that matters so us fans should be too.
if ther writers have no intention of ever doing that then that new character should have a origan cool name to them selves.
just make sure they do the cool thing they need and all the thing that make a character good a good Rogue's gallery
send on trip to learn news skill. and ecent relationship not one that are toxic . and it'll always work out.
I wonder if this is on Marvel. Because Insomniac had the choice to do a game on any Marvel character they wanted. I think it's more likely that Insomniac actually liked Miles enough, that they made him part of their game.
oh I have that answer for this last one

Miles Morales almost wasn't in #
SpiderManPS4
, here's how that changed:
September 14, 2018
Spider-Manfor PlayStation 4, players were excited to see the character make it into the game. Apparently, however, it seems that wasn't initially the plan for him as revealed in a new interview with Creative Director Bryan Intihar.
In a recent interview with our sister site over at GameSpot, Intihar revealed that Miles Morales was nothing more than a small post-credits scene tease during development. As the story progressed, they realised he was more suited for a much bigger role than initially anticipated.
According to the Creative Director, "Originally, Miles was not gonna be a big part of the game at all. He was originally just a tease… When we started developing the first story, he really wasn’t there until a post-credits scene. I think the original plan… He was gonna be watching the events of what happened in the game on a computer, and someone said ‘Miles’ or something like that… I had read the Miles comics over the years, but then I was kinda like, ‘let me read them, again.’"
He added, "I started getting more and more into him, and I said, ‘is there any way we can put him more in there?’ And we talked a lot about making this a very unique Spider-Man universe. Like the familiar with the fresh. Familiar, but still mix things up."
From there, Intihar brought up a bigger role to the Executive Producer and then video game magic happened. Thankfully, the new direction worked and now fans of the comic character can not only see him in the game itself, but they can play as him as well.
For those that are fans of Miles Morales, you'll be happy to know that Insomniac Games paid very close attention to how his character was perceived in the comics. They didn't want to take away from the fact that he was always known for being an excitable Spider-Man fanboy and they wanted to keep true to that theme in this title as well.
the game right here for all things Spidey 24/7!
