What do you think will be announced guys?
Predictions
Sinister Six Cast Revealed and some Plot
The 2017 film is Black Cat
Sony re-re-announce Webb as Director for ASM3 (he was confirmed to return at Comic-Con)
A Venom movie is given a release date but no casting
An actual event movie with Spider-Man fighting the Sinister Six in 2019
Some kind of Marvel co-operation
Tolmach and Arad are re-re-announced as Producers for these films (they were previously confirmed two months ago I think for Venom and S6).
The whole thing wont be very long like the James Bond announcment.

I thought that 'Spider-Man summit' was only for Sony execs to decide what to do with these characters...

^^ same

All I want from the event is this (posted in other thread too):

Stop you are breaking my heart :(

i think that summit will be the 2nd reboot and whishful thinking here with Marvel production and Sony distribution

Soft relaunch of the franchise, won't show the origin, will start with an established Spider-Man, MAYBE tied to the MCU is my guess. Anything other than a reboot of some kind and I'd be surprised.

Are we asking what I hope or think?

My hope is soft reboot of the series with an established Spider-Man under the MCU banner made by Sam Raimi (the hacked emails have indicated that Sony has reached out to him). That I would die for.

Spidey: Batman Forever-like reboot starting with a minor role in Civil War, then team-up with S6 in Sinister Six, another supporting role that 'female movie' and then some solo mission in 2018-19. :)

i would love Spidey to say in a movie , "Super villain team up why not? everybody is doing that these days" and/or "Where are the avengers when i need them to show up?"

A bunch of people sitting around shouting out Spider-Man movie ideas. This should be live streamed for the comedy

Oh god no ... please not Sam Raimi :(!

And I seriously don't understand the word "soft-reboot" ... Are you talking about something like "the incredible hulk"?

lol, Avi Arad would be the spotlight "Yeah venom this... sinister six that..."

Exactly. Not an origin story, but a new beginning with an established Spider-Man.

It essentially means keeping what worked and throwing out what didn't. In this case, a soft reboot would be Andrew and Emma reprising their roles, and the events of TASM1 being loosely mentioned, whilst things like Electro and Harry Goblin would be ignored.

Oh ok!:yay:
Yeah ... But in that case, why Emma should reprise her role? I mean, TASM2 exist. As Iron-Man 2 exist. Her character is dead. So why not move ahead? I know, by that It wouldn't be a "soft-reboot" anymore, but ... You understand me?

My predictions?

-Sony will keep Spider-Man.
-Sinister Six will NOT happen, especially since WB just stole the spotlight with Suicide Squad.
-Marvel will be involved in some capacity.

And that's all I have so far. But big things WILL happen, for sure.

Okay, i understand. So no origin story (Or just briefly in the opening credits), new actors, ... ?

I'm not against that idea, but not in the hands of SONY... 3 franchises, really?

Anything in the hands of Sony at this point is toxic.

Well they could do that, sure. It's basically when filmmakers just keep what they see fit. They want Gwen? They keep Emma. They want Gwen dead? They don't.

Hopefully more emails are released causing further embarrassment and shame for sony, and they decide to partner up with marvel in some way.

Best case scenario is they sell but I'll be realistic here.

Shame that Marvel chose to decline to share Spider-Man. They could've pleased their fans but chose not to.

Can't blame them as they want everything back. It's only a matter of time though at least the Fantastic Four & Spider-Man goes back
