There have been a lot of complaints about the Raimi films Blu Ray releases, either due to lack of Special Features, or crummy box art. Which sets do you own, and do you think there will be another "re-release"? Maybe in 10 years we will get "Spider-Man 3: The Sam Raimi Cut" or something like that.

---------

Anyways, in the UK, there is a Blu-Ray box set that looks like this:

The set cover has pretty cool box art IMO. The three films inside have the same covers as the new blu-ray re-releases (cheap photoshop with blue background), but I don't mind them as much while inside a box set. They have special features, and Spider-Man 2.1 is included.

Now the reason for me posting this is because it plays on Region A, B, & C players, so if you live in North America you can buy this off of amazon or eBay and you have yourself a solid Spider-Man trilogy set.

Never cared about getting S-M 3 and while I did have S-M 1, I don't anymore....I've been thinking about getting it once more though.

Those new trilogy sets still have the worst cover art I have ever seen.

Still, once it's on the shelf I usually forget about it.

I bought the previous trilogy set. Lack of special features so I kept my old DVDs. A shame they didn't port everything over.

Are you referring to the UK box set I posted?

I would buy the new blu-rays and put them in the boxes of the original blu ray set.

Reasons I don't own the trilogy on bluray :

Cover art looks like crap.
Lack of deleted scenes.
No extended SM3 (this was the main reason I was excited fo the re-release, even ASM is getting deleted scenes released)
No new special features, or even ports of the older features.

I own SM3 on bluray, but have yet to get the entire trilogy set.`

I think the UK trilogy cover looks pretty cool though. I doubt we will get Spider-Man 3 deleted scenes ever, and if we did, it wouldn't happen for a very long time.

We get a decent amount of special features from the DVDs, at least enough to make me want the blu-ray set, along with the fact that the movies are in high-def.

I got the Raimi trilogy on Bluray when it was first available and looked like this and not the crap they changed it into. I'm not sure I would have purchased SM3 on bluray but when the movies came out on Bluray originally it was only available as a set and couldn't buy them separately.

thankful the trilogy boxset here doesn't include the individual covers
absolutely terrible and lazy

I was thinking about getting the set on Blu Ray(since I just recently got a Blu Ray player),but like everyone has mentioned, there's nothing new here that isn't already on the regular DVD set.

Those new covers are hideous. The classic covers are much better.

Yeah, wow... I saw this in Best Buy the other day and was disgusted by the box art. If these had a decent design, I might have picked it up to update my collection. But damn, just brutal. A matte blue background...really?

I've still haven't gotten around to getting them on Bluray, they were on sale for $10 dollars each this past Black Friday but I didn't care for owning them, from the horrible cover art to not simply caring for the Raimi movies at the moment.

I'm still sticking with my DVD's until something like added special features on future Bluray releases entices me to upgrade.

I think they've pretty much covered everything on the previous DVD's. Probably the only thing I'd really pay to get is a Spider-man 3.1.

I have this set too, won't upgrade till new releases are out with additional/new features, interviews, etc...

Prior to the blu set, I owned this DVD (region 2) Deluxe Trilogy set---I would love for future trilogy releases to use this packaging!:
