If this is another shot at an larger freeroaming spiderman game...I hope to god they take their time with it and make it amazing.

Spider-Man 3 (for PS3 and RROD-Box) probably would have been incredible if not for the time crunch to get it out on the same date as the movie. That game had "RUSHED" all over it

Eh, im not ready to say this game will suck. They dont have to stick to any movie plot lines or time frames so that alone should make it better than their previous outings. Hopefully the game will be based solely on the comics and well get a really cool story with a ton of our favorite characters making appearances. And the fact that people found out about this through Gamestop doesnt mean anything one way or the other. More publishers are doing this to create a much earlier fan buzz. Im eager to see what well get, hopefully itll be as far away from Spider-Man: Friend or Foe as humanly possible.

Activision should take on the CoD approach, 2 developers, alternating years. 1 can suck (CoD 3 + 5), the others can be really, REALLY good (CoD 1, 2 + 4)

Yea i agree with you on SM3 tho, which is why i think this game can be alot better than the previous games, they dont have to stick to any strict guidelines. And SM:FoF was literally put out there to tap the rest of that movie market.

Yea, although maybe they should just give it to the good dev's permantly. I mean if they give us a GOOD Spider-Man game, we dont need one every year.

Woo Hoo! Oh yeah, baby! I loves me some Spider-Man! This looks like it'll be one of the best Spider-Man games yet! I only have one problem with it. They keep on stressing the fact that you can decide to do whatever you want and that's ok but it's like they're saying you can skip saving someone from a fire or a mugging or whatever. Spidey is not the type of hero that ignores a cry for help. It doesn't matter anyway, because when I play, I'll make sure to make all of the right decisions.

The screen shot looks cool, but I'm not crazy on the "play how you want" and "customizable super powers".

Then again, we dont know enough about these features yet, so who knows, they could be cool.

Im glad to see its a free roam, as thats the only way to do Spider-Man.

I'm excited about this. While I liked Spider-Man 3, I thought it was going to be way better.

Hopefully this improves on an already good formula.

Web of shadows doesnt seem so bad. I mean there are webs and then there are shadows.

Hopefully they seriously retune that combat system and rescale the city(none of this half the size crap).

Hmmm. It'll be interesting to see how this develops. I enjoyed Spider-Man 3, it looked great, apart from some character models in the cutscenes, and was fun to play so I'll have to see what this game is like.

The customization/choice aspect is interesting.
