I was looking around and happened to stumble upon the new Marvel comic releases on CD Rom for the computer. This seems like an incredible deal for only 50 bucks. I was was wondering if anyone had information on this. Is it truely a collection of all past Spiderman story arcs in the last 40 plus years. Does in include cross overs such as the discovery of the alien symbiote. Any infor would be appreciated. I'll leave a link for those who may not know of this.

My friend told me about this. I personally think it kills the fun of comic collecting, but that's just me. Besides, I don't like reading comics online or on the computer. Especially when splash panels are involved.

i agree with you that it's better to have to actual issue. But for 50 bucks how can you beat it. For people who are just begining to collect this is a great way to catch up. I personally would use it as a reference and continue to collect the hard copy. It's just nice to have some form of the storyline.

Aloha,
It is a great way for people to get on board with the complete history of Amazing Spider-Man. One point to remember is that there are crossover stories that begin in Amazing and then go to other titles-Kravens LAst Hunt,Maximum Carnage, etc. Those crossover stories are not included in the CD Rom.

I have it. I got it for a good deal at CompUSA since they're closing a lot of their stores, and personally, I absolutely love it even if its only the Amazing series. It collects RIGHT UP to the issue before Spider-Man reveals his identity, which is too bad cuz I wanted to see that.

Here's a fun thing: if you want to keep up with a character, for example Flash Thompson and see his evolution from bully to Peter's close friend, just go to www.spiderfan.org and click on characters and they give you not only bios but all their appearances as well. Then you can track what issues to look out for that character. =)

However some of you may have problems loading it with some but not all versions of Roxio and had to uninstall it.
