Comics Spiderman Vs Iron Man

I just read #535........... I saw it coming but wow!!

Is Peter stupid?? He's gotta know that Tony can probably control that Spider suit. You know he's got fail safes in it.

Peter had thought about looking into how the suit works. It's transmitting data about Pete to Stark.

Iron man wins this one. But I see Aunt May intervening.

I see this playing out vaugely like the first episode of Batman Beyond, in which Bruce hit the fail safe on the suit and Terry was left defensless and was getting beaten to s***. Stark will probably do the same to Peter. Mary Jane will probably intervene, get the suit off of Peter, and die in the process. This is what will lead to no more crappy sidekick suit, and to the transition to the black suit. MJ will die saving his life. That is what will keep Spider-Man doing what he does...so that MJ didn't die in vain. I can really hope that this doesn't happen, but Joe Q seems to love pissing off Marvel fans, more than making them happy.

Haha...are we talking about the same Marvel Comics? What won't they do? Do you doubt that Gwen Stacy would have willing sex with the Green Goblin, run away and leave Peter for no reason? Oops, no need to doubt that one...it happened. Do you doubt that Cyclops and Jean would break up and Cyclops would date the same supervillain that tried to control Jean the first time they met? Why doubt when we can see it happened. Marvel has zero, zilch, nadda, no problem, what so ever, when it comes to putting their characters into outlandish situations. The fact that you could doubt the such, just astounds me. They just had Thor (even if a clone) kill a long time B lister, for no real reason, other than the fact that Tony and Reed couldn't control it. The only thing I am doubtful of Marvel doing these days...is the right thing.

Its just going to be a weird move if Iron Man is responsible for MJs death (If it happens of course) because of the Iron Man movie coming out next year. You know Marvel, the movies now influence the comics.

The way I see it going is thus. First round goes to Spidey, Spidey is beating Tony with the help of the suit. But this is Tony loring Pete into a false sense of security. Then Tony will say something like I warned you there's be consequences for going against me. He'll hit a switch and disable the suit in some way. Then Tony will start beating the piss out of him and spouting off how he is dissappointed in him, but he'll serve as a great example to those who would go against the law. Then Peter will be beatin on the ground looking like he's done, but he'll think to himself, what about MJ and Aunt May? And he'll find that inner strength to continue. He'll beat Tony senseless and then scram with Aunt May and MJ. And he'll leave the damages suit next to Tony on the ground or something like that.

I mean the details might change, but I feel that will be the over all feel of the fight.

good point. I think Marvel will find some screwball way to make Tony the "Hero" of the whole thing before it's over.

Perhaps he needs to be within a certain range of the suit before he can overide it.

MJ will walk out onto the building Spider-Man and Iron Man are fighting them on and ask them if they want some wheatcakes, forgetting about everything other than that they were both New Avengers. By the time she remembers Iron Man shoots an energy blast at MJ, seeing her as a pink elephant that is after him, the Civil War causing him to go back to the bottle. She falls off the building and Spider-Man catches her foot with his web but this breaks her neck.

Okay, here are my thoughts...

How it should go:

Peter should go at Iron Man with his own tech that is in the Iron Spidey suit. Spidey will have removed the boobie-traps and such, and will hav eused what he learned to figure out som of the chinks in Iron Man's suit, and, through alot of fighting, alot of ingenuity, and a very impressiv display of strength, Peter peels Tony out of his armor and doesn't even hit him, but leaves him webbed up, as he leaves to join Cap's side in the fight...leaving the Iron Spidey suit behind...where the circuits suddenly fry and the suit is left useless. Peter then makes a joke about leaving costumes behind and having to fight them later on.

How it will probably go:

Peter jumps into battle with the sidekick-suit on, not thinking. Iron Man shuts the suit down after Peter gets in one good blow. Tony then goes on to tell Peter that it's called a "blood oath" for a reason, and then ships Peter out to the Negative Zone Prison, where Peter either a- plans to escape with all the other prisoners in tow, or b- He plans to stick his thumb up his ass and await a rescue.

The best way for it to go:

Peter jumps into battle, and Tony immediately attempts to lock-down the suit. Nothing happens, and Peter continues his attack. MJ and Aunt May barge in after a good long brawl, and beg for Peter and Tony to stop it. They don't listen, and the brawl continues. Peter finally gets the upper hand, when a wall behind him explodes, and the team of villains from CW#4 show up...it seems that Tony called the cavalry in...and now a weary Peter must deal with a weakened, yet still dangerous Iron Man, his deadliest villians, and somehow get MJ and Aunt May out of harm's way. To be continued in CW#5.

When you say Aunt May intervenes- do you mean by putting on Stark's first suit of armor again and kicking his ass?

This is the best one I've read. Though I think the battle should go for a whole issue back and forth. but this ending would tie in best with the upcommin CW cover and would feel more like classic marvel story telling.

Though deepend Darth's, I mean Tony's fall into evel.

It's only going to be another two weeks or so until Civil War #5 comes out anyways, so we will all know soon enough.
