so who should be the women, girlfriends and buddies that get featured in the next films? Who should be the actresses to portray them?

There are various characters who first appeared in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s that could be chosen from.

I predict that one of the women from HBO's Girls will get a role. We'll see.

Well they already have Felicity Jones (terrific actress by the way) as Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, which will probably be a big deal in the next movie. They also are definitely going to at least cameo Mary Jane in the next movie. If we are talking just women, I doubt it will go beyond those two as, along with Gwen, they're the big three. Betty Brant I suppose could be a supporting character again, but no bigger than she was in the Raimi trilogy.

As for friends, they could always bring back Flash Thompson. By making Harry an instant villain after an eight year absence, they kind of have foregone this version of Spider-Man having any real close friends. That is a shame.
