Okay, I'm hopin' someone well-versed in all things Spirit can help me out here. I only came on when the recent DC series started, so all I know comes from there an' whatever else I've gleamed since. One thing that confuses me is the relationship between Spirit and Ellen Dolan.
Now, Cooke's run had it where she was hangin' out in the crypt with his mask off, lookin' like they practically live together. Aragones comes around, and Ellen looks like a love-sick puppy that Spirit treats like an unwelcomed distraction or like he's too shy to follow-through with. As of the recent Spirit issue, Spirit and Ellen are once again an item. As only one issue's come out so far of this new guy's run I dunno if it's gonna run as serious as Cooke's interpretation or not, but I just hafta wonder in the grand scheme of all things Spirit...what in the hell is up with these two?
