Spiritual/demonic possession - Has it ever happened to you or someone you know?

Recently, Super Kal revealed that he had been possessed by a demon at one point in his life. Undeniably it must have been a very horrifying experience for himself and the people around him and it takes a lot of courage to open up about something like this. What I am wondering now is if any other Hypsters have, at some point gone through a period of possession, or if they have known anyone who has or even currently is whether and whether they'd be willing to share their stories with us. If not, it's perfectly understandable, but I thought it would be a good learning opportunity for us who have, fortunately, never had to go through something like that in life.

Just because you don't believe demons exist doesnt mean something didn't happen with people who claim to have been posessed. whether it was real demonic opression or just something psychological, something happend and its very personal. i hope we can respect what people believed have happend to themselves and their friends

I believe it was already established in the other thread that you don't believe in any of this, so I hope you can do the respectful thing and not try to turn this into an argument about whether possession is or isn't real. I, myself do not believe in god, but I also realize that just because *I* believe something doesn't necessarily make it true. I feel that what these people have gone through is a genuine experience, be it demonic possession or something else that they have no other means to define, but like I said, this thread isn't for argument, it's for hearing from people who have gone through this themselves.

Sometimes I have thoughts in my head that I can't believe get in there . These aren't pleasant. The thought of doing something evil for the sake of it crosses my mind but I'm not that type of person. It's weird , It's like having two personalities . It's almost embarassing to think like that . I'm not at war with myself but I usually just fight it off and keep going about my day.
Also it seems in life whenver i'm really nice to people I have a bad luck streak . If I act like a jerk or do something I shouldn't then everything seems to go smooth.

I think my girlfriend would agree with you that i have a darkside . She thinks I'm really nice but do have a darkside. I don't think it's as severe as
d.i.d. because I don't experience the depersonalization or lapse into not knowing where i am.

I had never looked at o.c.d in that way before Now that I've read more it does fit my situation. Most everything falls under what the obsessions are defined by.

I have never witnessed such a thing personally, but throwing it out as psychological disorder is bullsh**. I know an old preacher who has done demonic exercisions and he has told me some pretty creepy stuff. It is not a coincedence how the level that these people affect others around them and some paranormal or unexplainable things that are associated with some cases.

He doesn't have to prove it to you or me? Why does he need to lie? The fact that some cases have really weird sh** going on is either a group experience psychological disorder or something else is happening that no one can explain. Just like ghosts, I myself have had experiences and so have a lot of people, just throwing it out as a mental experience is stupid. Skeptics that see possible truth but throw it aside are just as dumb as true believers in anything

What is also even stranger is that skeptics rule it out as a mental disorder while these different tribes so called disorders have the same effect on others with no physical connections to other tribes or cultures.

Another great example I love personally is that some ghost hunters will keep to themselves about what happened to them or what they saw. After the hunt, they will gather and their stories of what they saw matched. No psychological disorder can account for that.

What about things like Big Foot? How can the same creature show up in different parts of the world? What I am getting at is that psychological disorders do not manifest the exact same signs of say Christian demons in a tribe that does not believe in demons.

As far as I'm aware the only thing the demons possession have in common are that they cause people to act out in a way that isn't considered the norm of their social environment. Which, was mostly like "evil, wicked, voodoo shizzle." And we know that some psychological diseases can cause those effects in people.
