Maybe not so unlikely. As far as I recall, the Prodigy costume gave Ritchie super-strength and bulletproofing, but there was never really much in the Slingers comics that showed how strong he was. He might be in Iron Man's strength class, and bulletproof durability is getting quite the reputation these days thanks to Luke "I gots unbreakable skin!" Cage.

It was Speedball according to him.

He supposedly received it in the mail already which is completely believeable since people who suscribe usually get their comics earlier than the Wednesday it's scheduled to ship on.
