Stan Lee turns 95 today!

That's upsetting. I hope he's okay.

Jesus, if that's true, someone needs to investigate this.

I just found out about Stan Lee. Damn. I hope he pulls through. Pneumonia is practically a death sentence for people his age.:csad:

Every time I see Stan in a Marvel movie, I wonder if it will be the last time.

The Man has been a notable stitch in the fabric of the background of my life for as long as I can remember (which is a considerable length of time).

every time I see the RIP Celeb thread bumped, I not only dread who's the newest name on the Reaper's list, but even MORESO that it MIGHT be Stan Lee... fortunately, he has all those heroes and villains that help him fight off the Reaper...

Evidently, there is a big hoo-hah over his estate, and the fact that 'outside' business contacts are 'ripping' him off by dipping into his finances without the families notification, I believe his daughter has power of attorney.

This s*** keeps getting crazier.

http://www.tmz.com/2018/04/02/stan-lee-business-associate-stole-blood/

Stan Lee's former business associate is like a vampire ... he literally sucked the blood out of Stan's body -- well, not exactly literally, but close.

Here's what we're told. The businessman went to Stan's personal nurse back in October with a forged document giving him authority to order a blood sample from the Marvel maven. Our sources claim he told the nurse to fill several vials and she obliged. We're told she took so much Stan became dizzy.

No one from Stan's camp had a clue the samples were taken, but we're told his friend and partner, Keya Morgan, recently discovered the possible foul play. We're told Stan's people believe the former business associate has commissioned pens -- presumably linked to Stan and Marvel -- and the pens have an ink substitute ... blood!!!

Stan's peeps believe the business associate plans to sell the pens for a fortune, and they want to put a stop to it STAT. So Stan's team has hired attorney Jonathan Freund to get to the bottom of the alleged plasma plot and not only file a lawsuit, but a police report as well.

Stan's team believes the former business associate also pilfered $300k from the comic legend. And they also believe the guy bought an $850k condo with Stan's money.-

Who the eff thinks it's alright to take blood from an old man so you can commission pens to write with his blood? Beyond messed up, like something you wouldn't think would happen in real life. I don't think any of this is going to get better for Stan because shady people just keep snaking their way in on him.

I ran across this article a little while ago concerning Stan... if this is true, then I really do fear for Stan and what he's going thru businesswise and it just goes to show what leeches, scumbags and weasels there are in the world who would want to take advantage of an elderly person...

I also read this one when it was published, it's a rough read. I wonder what could feasibly be done to help Stan by people who have influence, like you don't hear any stars or directors chiming in for one of the last guy's alive responsible for their success today. I've seen a handful of writers and artists in the comic industry voice their concerns but I don't think it's been doing much.

I really don't know what could be done except to hope for some kind of investigation into what's going on behind the scenes... and Stan is the one who has to start the ball rolling by voicing his concerns... at THIS point, other than his daughter, JC, and people he ABSOLUTELY trusts, if I were HIM, I wouldn't trust ANYONE else at this point... and he seems to be that good-natured trusting-of-everyone type of individual... and just that alone is working against him... and that's a shame, because he just seems to be really nice guy... :csad: and to think all this s**t began shortly after his wife, Joan, died... once she passed, the vultures swooped in to pick at the financial bones of The Man... what a f***ing shame...

Look, I met Stan at a few conventions and he is a great Guy as well as being a living Legend. That blood story is the most horrible thing I ever heard.

I just want to Stan to make to the end of phase 3 (imagine how happy he'll be) or until Elon Musk invents the immortality pill.

I would also pay a pretty penny to witness Jack Kirby's response to phase 1-3.

Stan, please don't give your daughter the property rights.

First, think of the millions of Marvel fans.

Second, she already seems extremely untitled and ungrateful.

Maybe you can give her an allotment for 10,000 per month.

That's more money than most hard working Americans could dream of.

Also, if you have fake friends and family being treacherous, just call out to your fans. We have your back till the end, old friend.

Excelsior!

At age 95 I feel like us fans feel more attached to him than his own family and personal caregivers. Sad to say, but they know as soon as he goes they get everything.

And that hurts because your fans don't really know you like friends and family so support from fans after being underappreciated bu friends and family is of little consolation.

I feel like Stan lost his strongest advocates when his wife and Hugh Hefner died.

But I really hope he reaches out to the fans. The outpouring of love and support might lift his spirits a little.
