Justin Lin said the movie focuses on a NEW civilzation. So human and klingon villains are unlikelyBut Idris Elba as the villain this time around I wonder if he will be playing a Klingon or a human villain somehow
cerebral sci-fi sadly doesn't sell tickets. not enough to warrant more sequels. rock and roll does.Good. I am glad about this. So far they're saying the right things. Now I just hope to see more Star Trek-iness featured. I like the rock and roll, but I want the more focused cerebral nature back too.
Assuming Elba is playing the villain which I am sure he will be and if he is then I say that's great because I am sure he will make one great villain but if anything Cumberbatch should have been brought back for Star Trek 3 considering his character of Khan didn't even die in Into Darkness his character was just frozen again

Michael Giacchino said:So thrilled to be working with Justin Lin and the rest of the Enterprise crew on Star Trek Beyond! Let's boldly go!

also, I believe, hollywood writers get dumber every year.even if they tried to do something cerebral, the best they could come up with is stuff like Inception
