Star Trek: DS9 - Season 8

I was told that Star Trek DS9 has an unofficial eight season in a book series starting with the title "Avatar: Book One" and "Avatar: Book Two." Has anyone read the series, or know if its worth reading? What are the exact books which comprise this "eighth" season?

The books are fantastic the books are what could have been a season 8 if they chose its basicly follows the events after the finale. Also introduces new characters and old ones as well. Although be carefull they play loosely with some cannon but still quite fun.

Theres 2 books to avatar part 1 and 2 and season 8 is hypothetical its considered non canon but they are quite good.

It was series of novels, comics which continued after season 7 which could be considered "season 8" they sorta of tie together but they are not all in the same continuity heres a list of them: http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/DS9_relaunch Again this is all non cannon stuff but there a lot of fun avatar novels being the best of them.
