hmmm seeing how good Cryptic Studios made this game marvel should really be kicking them them selves right now. that MMo game their making with the new game company better be good. just saying.

Does this game actually feel like a star-trek universe or do you just move around mindlessly blasting stuff until you reach level X?

I just watched the whole thing and talked to afew people. it does feel like a star trek universe. you can pick any era too.

you can watch the video's and your questions are pretty much answered there. if you want to try the beta like I said get it from them before all the keys are gone. I guess this has fully made my games list now.

I used to for get about this game alot and for got it was being made.

As to your last question at first your given missions via champions online. Later it opens up to you going to where ever you want.
or you can pick your way of travel to get there. system wise. just do the tutorial you'll get the handle of it.

The steam price is slightly over-priced for the UK, £10 more than the average pc game with the digital edition costing £20 more. I'll probably hold off.

I always hated in MMO's how it's suppose to be a massive explorable living world when in actuality, you are very restricted, If you are only X level you are stuck in certain zones until you progress 2-4 levels up to progress to the next one, seems very linear in nature regardless of the big enviroments. Lord Of The Rings: Online was especially bad, after the starting area it was very difficult to move 5 feet without being attacked by something, you couldn't even move around on horse-back without getting knocked off in certain area's. it seems less Middle Earth and more Diablo, I hope the game just lets you fly around exploring than just being bombarded with fire-fights by clusters of enemy's every 30 odd seconds.

From what i saw of this game that'll be less of a problem. the second link video shows so. but you still have to advance some but you get your a way team pretty fast. and make capt even faster.
they did say you'd be captain in your ship when you start the game. but alot of people thought you still be going through the ranks you do in a way it's just a really fast jump from ensign

hmm now i remember the reason why I never got into the lord of the rings games.

Turns out Klingons are some bad mamma jammas. Also, we meet a small dude.

As to a former question you can set your phasers on your ship to auto fire so you don't have to keep pushing a certain button to do so and you can consintrait on flying. and for the missions you have access to the areas you need for the first 16 levels. Going this week going to pre order. this and mass effect 2. Man I have list of games.

BTW they were at the wrong it was a planet near in a system by there vulcan.

the planet is indeed red and no there's nothing going aroun the plent it's self but there is in the other systems near by it.

I got my pre-order yesterday well the day before from Eb/ game stop. And man took literally the whole day to download.

7:am to basically 9:00 pm to get this man. man I almost caught up with them in on nights of play.
lol i might run into them this morning who knows. the ship mission take some getting used too once you get them make sure you the one you want as a priority it'll make easier on you. oh and always do the group thing with other ships. if you get the actual game. beta testing this is fun. oh i have to get the rest of my bridge crew members. I just try to see if i can get that really good armor right now. I just have on Pre order. but I like working to get it here in this beta version.

I played the closed beta. You can't pick any era, the whole thing takes place 30 years after Nemesis and Romulus is destroyed.

It does feel like a Star Trek universe., and the ship combat is actually really fun. The game ran really well while in the ship, outside it was little more wonkier, but I blame my computer, not the game itself.

Ship combat is fun as hell.
Ship combat in a group is amazingly awesome.
Ground missions are ok, ground combat is kinda fun.

Buttttttttttttttt, it's a very niche game. If you're into Star Trek, you'll like this game, but if not...

thanks for the correction I forgot that will be in the full on game. the other era's thing. for now it's after jane ways and voyagers last misson with the borg.

Okay, that's a lot of ships.

ok so I made pretty far. it seems I was in the same system as they were today but i made it there first and finished up. it a looks like I'll make it to Lt. commander before they do. I'll try and meet up with them tomorrow now that I know where their head. nice find souless. Yeah try an get on the beta before it closes in that place.

Alot of places are running out of keys now. the away team missions could be a little better but I like when you melee and they go down. those klingon Bathlet's are a pain though.

I'll try and see if I'll be able to get in the same system tomorrow with those giant bomb guys.
This should be fun. hehe.

The endgame for this is going to be ****ing amazing too.

4 indepentant groups, where the endgame is basically you just go to war with one another over sectors of space.

Talk about awesome.

lol brad doesn't play this on his off time like Ryan has been and ryan had a good head start still. lol have to help him out a bit. Brad did get too lucky getting that armor though. I haven't come across it yet. and I had an easier time in star base 24. well most of my guys were all tatical. i really need to finish up gathering my crew. hehe. something tells me if it were vinny you'd be more annoyed though. lol

ok I got the rest of my bridge crew I got two sci qand engis officers. which was what I was missing I have my security officer she come with me om missions along with my tactical officer. and ver close to make L.T. comander even though I'm still called captain of my ship. I'm Lt. grade 7 now. oh i ran into a bug in the war zone of Deep space k7. that really need to be fixed. wont let complete the final objective of the mission. which was sad. other it's going well. can't wait to get my new ship and body armor.

oh and Leonard Nimoy's voice over commentary has been added to the beta. as of last night. every new sector you enter you here his voice on what's going down in that area now.

Party at the space station!

it was cause they couldn't get on cause of the patch still setting up before that allow you to hear Leonard Nimoy's voice over commentary.

Any way I'm in the kessa system. they haven't left the sol and vulcan sector. I got a lot done I just hope bug that some of us found yesterday by DS K7 was fixed.

I have to go back to sol and put some stuff in the bank again in that star base. so i have room in my inventory.

yes i'm on the same sever but seeing that brad's and the giant bomb crew are in sanfanrsico it's hard to see them. And I'm usually doing another mission by the time he shows up.

since they only do an "hours" play through. which the new in thing for MMo's now. 30 minute's to an hour. tops.

I just made it to level 10 so I should find a way to become an L.T. comander now and buy my new ship. As for screen shot's hmmm ok I'm gonna have to use my cell phone cam. lol I never manged to get a work screen shot of my gaming. Not sure how to work it on this game and I don't have "f.r.a.p.s" for my home pc.
team fotress ahs different thing altogether as well.


I know I used it on my seasonal work as a game tester. but i don't where buy that program.

I'll see whatI can do. I'll have also find some other way to add brad to my buddies since he's hard to find withou being on your buddies already.

it looks like your first starter cruiser but I've gotten some really nice shields and weapons and device's since I started out and really it's now able to do Alot of damage to Klingon ship and Borg ships too. had to really fight out at the start though.

I'll try and get a pic of my character with the armor.

BTW I made to L.t. commander. not I have to buy my ship I'll go for the one that Benjimen sisko had on Ds9 and out fitted it with stuff(tech wise) that voyager brought back from exploring.

I have heavy phaser cannon's and Disruptor arrays and Quantum photon Torpedoes MKII and Quantum photon mines MKII as well I had Mk III but one of my new buddy wanted it so I'd Figured I get another one eventually. be side I'm way ahead of him already. and he was playing longer.

He invited me to his bridge and every thing. oh and I figured out how to get my character to sit in the captain's chair. he asked how and we both took turns sat on his chair on his bridge. there's two ways to do it. It's in Emocon's on your chat area left bottom screen. Scroll down to sit and you'll see both sit in captains chair and sit in chair. Ether one will do.

ok so I been promated sweet can I get a new ship right off the bat but i want that Ds9 defiant class ship so bad. I have to go out fight alot and get alot of item / loot. so I can sell and buy that ship. I have today tomorrow and possibley early start tuesday(monday night) to do it.

I also promoted two of my bridge officers I'll do the same for my others as soon as I get a big enough skill level up.

I've also added brad and dave from giant bomb and one of the admins in the space neon lobsters fleet.

lol it's funny how my character made it to level 10 and became L.t. comander while brad's still at grade 4 L.T.

BTW those are nosakins not klingons. if you ever saw the ep where jean Luke picard had to have heart surgery cause when he was young and nuts he fought these guys you'd know what these things are. their worse then klingonss. wayyyyyy worse. eh you have to see it i guess.

mwhahahah I found sets of duel weild hand phasers by just doing missin getting smuggler in the neutral zone. lol I'll have give one set of that to brad later. o h i di the print screen thing last night didn't turn up for some lame reason. I'll try it again when i get the full game. I was gonna do the life time subcribtion but the due date is too short and I don't really like credit cards. so I'm useing what they call in the states credit debit. well my is actully a pre paid card that I don't to ow the back cause it's my money set to a certain amount onthat card. but i have to wait til next week so jeff's alone on the prepaid thing.
it'll be interesting to see how that will turn out for him though. some people are taken bets on how long he'll play this game.

Doesn't work in the beta.

However, typing "/screenshot_ui_jpg" or "/screenshot_jpg" takes screenshots. Something like that, just type /screenshot in game.
