Yeah, but the Original has never been remade.

Sure there are stuff like Return to Oz, and the Tin Man. But not a remake or a reboot.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is an upcoming CGI film to be directed by John Boorman.

I forgot about the Wiz.

Also, not familiar with Boorman's movie. Haven't heard anything really about it, and I just a quick search and I'm coming up with nothing for something that's suppose to come out this year.

Again, I'm just against remakes of certain Hollywood Classics. Re-interpretations are usually hit or miss but it has to be pretty exceptional and the Wiz is good example.

The prequel trilogy would be easier to reboot but withou the original Palpatine it could be less effective

Rebooting would be the stupidest idea ever when you have tone of good material in the Extended Universe, just don't use the ones with Han, Luke, Leia etc.

Yes I would rather see movies/shows based on the EU than rebooting the existing movies. There are tons of stuff in the EU you can use.

I wonder how many marriage proposal's Bim has gotten since she posted her lightsaber collection. :D
:lmao: not a single one, actually :oldrazz:. I'll worry about the blu-ray once i have it in my hands. I'm hoping for the best and bracing for the worse. If they havent fixed some of the glitches it shall be 10 more years of ranting and complaining at the very least. It shall be the SE all over again... oh my god, i dont think i can handle it! :waa:

Rebooting Star Wars for me is a big no no. I dont know that i'd be able to watch someone else besides Harrison as Han Solo, a different Luke, Leia and even Ben Kenobi; in fact, i seriously doubt i'd ever go watch something like that. I hope Lucas makes sure nothing like that ever happens with this saga. I'm all for the expanding with new stories and aventures, but leave the movies alone.

Rebooting would be ****ing stupid. There are so many different & more interesting eras & stories to use. Star Wars reboot is a big no no. If it has Star Wars in the title & lightsabers in the movie then people will show

Rebooting the originals would be horrible, I don't think as many would be pissed (yes there would be some) if they rebooted the prequel trilogy some day. Which I myself would not mind.

However I would love to see a new trilogy set in another time, and let some one else write and direct em. Spielberg, Jackson would be a great duo. Have Nolan go over the scripts with them, I think you could have an awesome team of some of Hollywood's best make a collaborative effort to make a new trilogy. I know I would love to see Spielberg finally get a chance to direct one.

Prequel reboot ftw. There's so much potential there, so utterly squandered by Lucas. I'm normally against rebooting franchises (and the originals should never be touched) but that I'd like to see.

I assume you mean the Wizard of Oz, with Judy Garland...which was a remake. There were a few versions of Baum's story put on screen before that one, including one by his son, which was...interesting.

And no, none of the Star Wars should be rebooted, even the prequels. Especially if it's only the prequels, because then it's just caving to some arbitrary fan dislike because that's not how they imagined the story taking place.

Leave the prequerls alone. The last 2 were damn fine editions to the saga . Its time to introduce the world to Mara Jade though....

Attack of the Clones is god awful on just about every level.

Funny....many have been telling Lucas to leave the OT alone yet he does not. ;)

Ur talking about a reboot, not tweaking with it. Why is it fair to only reboot the PT just because you didnt like them? It isnt. Others like myself enjoy them and love them as much as the OT, so i dont see why he needs to reboot anything. Leave the saga alone.

Well again the hypocrisy of "leave it alone" when Lucas does anything but. To many the OT did not need any tweaking, some is fine but some of the stuff is over the top and not needed. While in my view lots and lots needed to be fixed with the PT.

That's fine that you like the PT as much as the OT, but I don't think most SW fans feel that way, I think most would say the OT was superior, does not mean we are "haters" of the PT, I just felt it had a lot to be desired. Heck I'm buying the complete series (though I'm iffy if the 2004 transfer stuff is true which it sadly is looking to be so from the screenshots from SDCC) so I think they are all right. I am a huge SW nut so ya I think they are okay.

Creating a reboot does not erase the PT you love now, you can still watch them and always enjoy them, just as Spidey Fans and Bat fans can still go back and watch the older films till their hearts content.

I just think some one else could do a lot better, and honestly that is the whole point some want a reboot because we did not care for it too much. That is kinda a silly question. Why reboot just because you did not like them? Yes! lol that is the reason. And that is why I think most always would want a reboot. Some did not want a PT to begin with back before EpI came out. You'll always have the films man, I just want to see some one else tell the early years of Anakin.

Exactly. This is one saga that shouldnt have a reboot in any way.

No matter what I hope they make a new trilogy, set some where far back or after the fall of the Empire.

The only thing that saddens me....will John be around for it? Who else could capture that magic he has?

Wouldnt mind a new trilogy that takes place after the OT :) Would love to see the return of Luke Skywalker in the shadow of Mark Hamill :D

If there is a Luke I would want him more as an Obi-Wan, older, and gives some advice, but let a new Jedi and crew have an adventure.

Lucas will proceed to continue working on the franchise from his grave.

It and ROTS were. I still love the Phantom Menace as a stand alone story though. I wish Lucas had written it and set if off somewhere else in the Star Wars universe than being connected it to the prequels and readjusted it for that too.

If they would ever make a new set of movies I would love if they would place them in the Kotor era, even if it would be a complete retelling of the games or a new story I would surely pay to see it. Can you even imagine if the team behind the The Old Republic cinematics would work togheter with Lucas? That would be crazy.

I imagine they will go to his kids, but I did hear a rumour at one point that they were supposed to go to his friend Steven Spielberg.
