Yeah of course, but it's still fun to see. Like when you finish Episode 3 on xbox and ps2 with Anakin. He goes on to kill Palapatine.

According to ign.com, even they were surprised by the footage leaked because it ran so smooth and looked nearly complete.

Yeah, but this wasn't 2 minutes of straight up gameplay, this was a clipped together trailer which could have very easily been doctored to look smoother then it plays. We've all been victim to really cool trailers and very meh games.

The main big deal is the first flying part, how the ship goes around the area, then up through the atmosphere and out into space, then docking in another ship and getting out. It just shows the scale that this game could have had.

The scale is nice in and of itself, and I saw some settings and playables I don't recall in earlier games. Alas. I can only dream.

Free Radical has been purchased by Crytek, so I wonder if that could have anything to do with the future of Battlefront 3? I was of the belief that Lucas Arts dropped Free Radical's build of the game as a reaction to the poor reception of Haze, so I'm not really sure. If that was the case, it's not very likely that Lucas Arts will take them back, but hey, weirder things have happened. It's also possible that due to Free Radical's money problems, they couldn't afford to finish the game and Lucas Arts didn't help them out, so they had to abandon the project. I guess we'll find out sooner or later what the game's status is.

Haha, where do you get that? BF was a popular game, no doubt, but BF 1 and 2 sold somewhere around 2.5-3 million units combined, which is good, but i dont see how that leads you to believe it'd be one of the highest selling games ever.

Lucasarts also thinks it must produce Clone Wars game and we know how sucky they are. Instead of wasting time with that, they should work on another BF. And the last time I checked, selling over 1 million units is pretty good.

LucasArts sucks. The best thing they have going for them is the Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones games. Force Unleashed was overhyped and mediocre. Then there's all the awful Clone Wars games. It's unfortunate since they have Battlefront, Jedi Knight, and other franchises just laying around. And we still need a KOTOR 3.

The problem is TFU wasnt mediocre to them. It was the highest selling Star Wars game of all time and im sure the 2nd one is going to be a huge hit too, regardless if the game is actually improved. Same goes for those Lego games. They are making money on them so i guess they dont feel they have to push out a BF or Jedi Knight title.

But like you were saying, with the online capabilities of the PS3/360, another BF game could be really big. Im surprised a BF games hasnt made it out, already and that they keep stalling it.

BF3 would be an even bigger money maker than the Lego games (which are going to run out of material soon) or Force Unleashed (which is crap but sold well b/c it was a Star Wars game with a lightsaber).

Their excuse for canceling it is weak. It'd have to come out in 2011 when other "big" Star Wars games are coming out? Give me a break

The first two are generally considered some of the best SW games ever. BF3 is highly anticipated & if they ramp up the multiplayer (which they would) it'd be f'in huge. Maybe even Halo 3/MW2 huge.


I can understand about wanting to do a FU2, the first one's the highest selling SW game & maybe they think they needed to improve it (ala AC1 to AC2). But seriously do we need the Clone Wars games? The show's good & all, but the games have reaked. Hell, atleast give us an Indiana Jones game while it's still recognizable to non-fanboys.

While it's sad that Battlefront is canned, don't go knocking TFU.

I loved it, and can't wait for the sequel.
