John Ostrander and Jan Duursema, formerly of Star Trek: Legacy and the Quinlan Vos comics, are going to tackle the origins of the entire Jedi Order in a series of comic mini-series under the umbrella title Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi.

Here's an interview with Ostrander and Duursema from the New York Comic-Con announcing and explaining the series: www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=34902

Personally, I am excited as hell for this. I love the expanded universe lore, especially the really early stuff, and Ostrander and Duursema have proven over several years that they're among the best creators working on Star Wars stuff today. Can't wait!

Crom...

I loved Legacy, and the Vos stuff was pretty good too. Part of me wishes John Jackson Miller was involved, but that's my KOTOR and Knight Errant fanboyism involved.

Yeah, Miller's great as well. I've been finding I'm not as interested in the Knight Errant stuff as I was in his Knights of the Old Republic, though. I don't know, I think the tight focus on Kerra might be the problem. I tend to like big ensemble casts for Star Wars stuff so I can see lots of bits and pieces of the lore through various characters' eyes.

I know you're not a fan of the novels, but the Knight Errant one is worth a look. It's got a very good ensemble, a good look at Sith space life. Effectively, it's three or so arcs in one.

Of course, KOTOR didn't really get great till the second arc, too, so I'm willing to give it a little leeway. Anyway, Ostrander hasn't disappointed yet, and Jedi are my primary love in Star Wars (original, I know), so this is definitely on my watch list.

Are there any Star Wars comics that are Darth Revan (Pre or Post KOTOR) or The General from KOTOR 2?

I love the earlier stuff, even if Golden Age of the Sith was a little weak, i allways tought that they should expand more on the Rakatan's Infinite Empire and what put the STar Wars Galaxy together.

You'll be interested in Dawn of the Jedi, then. The Infinite Empire is supposed to factor in heavily. I suspect the Rakatans are going to show up to conquer the Tython system, since the series is supposed to stick close to Tython for a while (given that hyperdrive tech isn't as ubiquitous as it is from the Old Republic era on).

tackling the origins of the Jedi, hmmm..........

Jedi Begins!

or, The Really, Really, Really, Old Republic.

I guess Dawn of the Jedi is better........lol
