Opening Crawl:

War! The Galactic Republic is in a desperate state of crisis struggling to hold together despite the constant attacks by an infinite army of clones. Dubbed the 'Clone Wars' the past decade of conflict has strained the Republic for resources as systems continue to fall. Hope is dwindling.

The charisma and unbreakable resolve of the sinister Clone Master, has left the citizens of the Republic with little faith in their cowardly president. Fears continue to go as the clones near closer and closer to the core systems. The time for action has passed and the cries for preparation of the people can no longer be ignored. The Galactic president has agreed to relinquish power to the speaker of the systems, Lexton Oregona of Alderaan.

In a shocking move however, the Clone forces have engaged in a surprise attack on the Capital System of Courescant as the Senate formally passes duties to the Alderaani King. Desperate to save the leaders of the Galaxy, the small band of Republic Naval Officers rush to ensure the people's last shred of hope is not lost with their capital...

Plot Synopsis

Large frightening rusted frigates surround and bombard the planet of Courescant. The surface is covered in vast city scape, the destruction and carnage of the attack is evident everywhere, but none more so that the smoldering, nearly collapsed Senate Building. In an opening that pays homage the opening of the original Star Wars, elegantly blue velvet clad guards rush the a group of regal politicians into what appears to be a panic room- among them are both the President and King Oregona.

The guards take position, blasters fixed on still open doors. Expositions from beyond rock the room, and the faint screams for mercy leave all hiding in a terrified sweat. Tension builds. The President cracks, ordering his head of security to seal off the room, King Oregona contests exclaiming his son, Bail, is still outside. The President is far too cowardly to risk facing the Clone Soldiers, he orders the doors be shut regardless. Oregona punches the commander in chief across the jaw, and reminds him he is now in control of galaxy. However to his horror he sees a sprinting hoard of Clone Warriors, clad in their faceless grey helmets and armor, fast approaching. Oregona fears for his son, but cannot allow his personal feelings to come before the good of the galaxy, he reluctantly orders the doors shut. Blaster fire can be heard as the clones attempt to enter, Oregona collapses to the floor in tears fearing for his boy, however the head of security reminds him he has his best officer tasked with protecting the young Prince.

The officer referenced was none other than Padme Amidala, a hardened young war veteran and admiral in the Republic Navy. She and a group of blue clad senatorial guards are escorting Prince Bail, out of the building through a series of lower level tunnels. Bail is no older than 17 years old and has never experienced fear of this magnitude in his heavily sheltered childhood. Padme assures him he has nothing to fear, and that he is safe as long as he remains in her care. She announces she is taking Bail to her vessel where they will be transported to Alderaan. One of the guards objects stating that if Bail boards the ship, then he's as good as dead. Amidala objects, and the soldier states he refuses to take the Prince aboard. Padme becomes suspicious and runs the guards credentials. Right before the results appear, the guard grabs Bail in a headlock, slipping a stun grenade across the floor, and kidnapping the Prince. Padme is knocked off her feat, and a chase ensues. The kidnapper manages to escape with Bail, dodging blaster fire from Padme and escaping on a lone speeder. "Find them!" she orders her troops as they scramble to recover the Prince.

On the speeder Bail is pants, both eyes wide as the moon, and his hands trembling in fear. The guard removes his helmet revealing a golden brown head of head of hair and a pale gaunt face. "I apologize for the confusion my friend, but know I wish to protect you." He tells the prince. Bail pants frantically "You're not one of my father's guards, who the hell are you?" The captor smiles "My name is Ben Kenobi and I'm here to rescue you. The Clone forces are too heavily concentrated on the surface, we will escape this planet, but for now sanctuary is bellow within the lower city." The two speed off into the horizon.

Padme and her troops rush to the starship, however they are met by a battalion of clones in the hangar bay. Center amongst the clones is a slouching, unsettling cyborg, draped in black robes, with arms curled like that of a raptor dinosaur. The cyborg turns his head, staring emotionlessly into Padme's eyes with his two red glowing optic receivers in place of his eyes. She quickly shoots the gate and a barrier drops between them. "How did they know we were here?" one of her soldiers shouts. "The impostor that snagged the Prince most likely tipped them off. Fall back to secondary hangers!" She replies. Suddenly she stops, her com link buzzes, and her face drops to an expression of utter horror. "The panic room has been compromised!" She exclaims.

Back in the panic, the floors are shaking from bombardment beyond the barriers, until finally they can no longer withstand the blows. A large explosion consumes the door, and a desperate, but brief fire fight erupts between the Clone invaders and the few elite Presidential Guards. The Republic forces crumble in seconds as the room is filled with clones, riffles pointed at all who remain standing. As the smoke clears a regal, tall, stone faced man enters the room flanked by two Clone soldiers. The intruder is none other than the Clone Master himself, Arch Duke Gaian Starkiller. Oregona maintains his composure, while the President trembles in the presence of the tyrant. Starkiller smirks a maniacal smile "Mr.President, it is truly a pleasure." he says as the captives remain silent "Now if you will pardon the mess, I believe you have a speak to make." A clone taps the President's back with the barrel of his riffle directing him out of the room. The group of dignitaries begins to walk forward, however all aliens are stopped. "I'm sorry, this journey is only for the higher beings." Starkiller says. He turns and leaves the room with the captive politicians, and in the wake of their footsteps a sudden barrage of blaster fire as the alien dignitaries are executed.

2,000 city levels bellow, miles away, Ben and Bail navigate the lower city. Bail is frightened of Ben due to the nature of his "rescue" and questions whether or not he can truly be trusted. Ben tells Bail had he boarded that ship, he would have been captured, that he very well be the galaxy's only hope. Bail surveys the frightening aliens that surround them and questions whether they are any safer. Suddenly a group of bikers surround them, most being aliens, but their leader is a human similar in age to Ben. He recognizes Bail's regal clothing and is intent on a robbery. Ben calms his young captive, assuring him they are not in danger, that he's sure of it. The man orders the two onto their bikes and tells them they're now being held for ransom. Bail frantically ask's Ben what he's thinking, to which Ben replies he's found them away off the planet.

The bikers take their new captives to their master, a grotesque alien resembling a large fly. Through the exchange Ben learns the human's name is Owen. The fly creature exclaims he is taking his crew to a local cantina to celebrate their prize, Ben however is stopped in his tracks. His eyes shoot open and alerts the fly they need to board immediately. The fly creature leans his head only inches away from Ben's, "and why would I take orders from a damn prisoner-". His words are cut short from a shot of blaster fire, dropping the alien dead. Republic soldiers storm the hanger, Padme leading the charge. Owen and the Pirates frantically load the prisoners aboard their the ship, narrowly escaping arrest. Padme however has gotten a good look at Ben during the skirmish, and is unsettled by what she'd seen. She turns to her subordinate and orders the ship be tracked and "General Windy" be contacted immediately.

The starship blazes through the atmosphere and enters light speed before even fully entering space- thus bypassing the blockade. Ben is impressed, but he has little time to admire the work of the pilot as they are quickly escorted to their holding cell. Owen steps forward to the cockpit to speak with the pilot, Anakin Skywalker. "Any idea what we do now?" Owen asks in an uncertain tone. Anakin turns "With the captain dead, we're in charge now. I'll speak with the prisoners." Their exchange is cut short however, when one of the members of the crew tells them of the live feed broadcast from the Senate Chamber.

Arch Duke Starkiller stands stall and stern above the whimpering and bruised Galactic President. The President gives a tearful speech, denouncing any opposition to Starkiller and begs for mercy before the entire Galaxy. As the speech comes to a close, a gunman from off screen fatally shoots the Galactic President. Starkiller steps forward calling for all systems to surrender, or be destroyed. He ends the message by posting a bounty for none other than Bail Oregona, and anyone who provides him with refuge. Back aboard the ship Anakin and Owen, look to each other realizing they've bit off more than they can chew.
