I didn't see a thread on this so I started one.:) As anyone seen the previews of this title? I looks absolutely amazing. Set 130 years after the battle of Yavin, their is an all-new sith order on the rise and a new empire. I resently picked up the 25 cent preview and it looks soooo good. There is a new Skywalker named Cade; he looks very Han Solo-ish. Anyway, I should be great!

Sweet! I havent heard anything on it but i checked an it comes out next week. I will make sure to pick this one up on my weekly run.

I'll be checking it out.

Not one for Republic or Empire, but I'll give this a go.

I picked this up and it looks great. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and can't wait for this series to start up.

If you you think you'll like this comic series, you should really start picking up the Legacy Era novels that just recently started with the book Betrayal. The things that happen in the Legacy Era Novels are what sets up the seeds that lead to this comic series 100 years later.

Yeah, I was planning on picking up the first novel hopefully some time in the next week or so.

I especially interested in it since
I heard that Jacen turns to the Dark Side and joins with the Sith.

Yep.
He's set up to become the next (and only) Sith Master. Apparently he's destined for it.
It's a really good book. One of the best Star Wars novels in years.

And if you pick up Star Wars:Legacy #0 and read it, it's my personal belief that
Darth Krayt, the leader of the Sith 100 years into the future, is actually Jacen.
There's a lot of clues leading me to that conclusion.

The Krayt/Jacen connection is a really good theory. Definitely will be looking at that closely as I read the novel series.

As for the SW novels, I haven't read any since the NJO finished up a few years back. Never really was a fan of all the Clone Wars novels, and I heard that the Dark Nest series (I think that's what it's called) sucked big time. From what I've read on Amazon and B&N about this Legacy series, it sounds pretty damn good.
Definitely going to pick the series up (the novels).

Got to finish my Forgotten Realms trilogy, Year of Rogue Dragons, first though. Been slacking on that one. :o

The Dark Nest trilogy sucked massive balls. It was awful and practically useless. The entire thing was based on the Jedi continuously doing stupid things. And while they aren't infallible, they're not nearly as dumb as they were in the Dark Nest trilogy.

Betrayal is just as good as any of the best novels in the NJO cycle.

Well, I'm glad I passed on it then. :D

That's good to hear. I really loved the NJO series (especially Star By Star by Troy Denning, that book was the best of the bunch IMO), so I'm glad to hear that Betrayal is just as good as the best of that series.

Might have to put my Realms trilogy on hold and get this book sooner. :o

I picked up Betrayal at my local library to read. It's only out in hardback right now, and I only buy the paperbacks, but I couldn't wait to read it. I had to get the aftertaste of the Dark Nest trilogy out of my brain.

Well, I've got no problem with buying the hardcovers...as long as they aren't too expensive.
Amazon has Betrayal listed for 16.35, and that's cool with me.

Tell me, DBM, have you read Outbound Flight?

Not yet. I'm not as into the prequel books so I've been waiting for that one to hit paperback. I'm looking forward to it though, I do love Zahn's work and stories involving the Chiss.

Actually. the Beginning of the Legacy era is the book Star Wars: Legacy of the Force: Betrayal. It takes place 40 years after the battle of yavin, and the universe is about to go to S*** because of the Corellians. anyway, back to the comic.
I was surprised that the Fel family are the Emperors
I wonder if Jagged or Baron is made emperor in the Legacy of the Force series.

I'm guessing Jag. If you look at the Princess Fel in SW:L #0, she's got a white streak in her hair, just like Jag. Plus, considering she's force sensitive, I'm betting at some point Jag and Jaina hook up and start the Fel dynasty.

What happened between them?
I didn't read the Dark Nest books (I have the first one, but i couldn't really get into it, which was wierd.)
He's not in Betrayal (or at least not on the Dramatis Personae list.)

It would be a great change for him, to become the Emperor of the entire galaxy, and it would be a good empire, not like palpatine's.
And i wonder if Jacen is the new Sith, or maybe even Darth Krayt in the comics.

I definitely agree with you on the prequel books. Not really a big fan of them myself. Still, as you say, it's Zahn writing it, and it does have Grand Admiral Thrawn in it. I know I'm going to be picking it up eventually.
Probably after I finish Betrayal and my Realms series.

Well, the way it looks from the comic, it does look like she is indeed the child of Jag and Jaina (father's unique hair coloration and her mother's force sensitivity).
I hope it's the case as I really liked Jag in the NJO series.

Jag did kick ass, but he and Jaina aren't together anymore for some reason. It looks like she might end up with Zekk now. But that could change.

I hope it does change. They made a good fictional couple. :o

ok, so how was it?
i don't want any spoilers, cause i wanna be surprised.

Don't know; haven't read it yet. Hopefully will tonight though, and should have my thoughts on it up shortly after.

I read it pretty good real good. Great art and im hooked on the story and really like that one sith bad guy in the armor. And who is this Jacen you guys keep talking about.

Jacen Solo, son of Han and Leia.
He's an EU character.

Jacen Solo

HOLY CRAP!
I look almost like him!
I could play him in a movie if they ever make one!

OMG. On Wikipedia it say this-
Lucasarts has confirmed that a version of Anakin—either Solo or Skywalker—will appear in the forthcoming Legacy of the Force series. It has not been confirmed if this will be as a Force ghost, clone, or some other iteration.
Does this mean there is going to be a Legacy of the Force game?
