Recently, Sony hardware development Anton Mikhailov went on a tirade against Microsoft's Kinect peripheral in an interview with Eurogamer magazine, particularly against the Star Wars game that was teased at E3 2010. In the process, he revealed that there is also a Star Wars game in development for Sony's Playstation Move peripheral that will have a heavy emphasis on lightsabers.

"I'm usually not very aggressive," said Anton Mikhailov to Eurogamer. He then proceeded to be just that. "But I will say [Move's Star Wars game] will be damn better than Kinect could ever do."

So, whether or not you agree with his comments on the Kinect, it is exciting to hear that Move has lightsaber swinging in its future! :D

Personally, I really hope they include an augmented reality mode where you can make Star Wars Kid style videos of yourself swinging around a lightsaber, dodging and deflecting lasers and using force powers. That would be a hoot. :D

I might have to get a move now. Or I can just wait for the eventual bundle release.

wasn't really interested in the Move, but with a lightsaber SW game in the works then i might have to pick one up. going to wait and see how the game is first though before shelling out the money

Someone made up a pretty awesome fake teaser image. :D

The Kevin Butler commercial for this game will be amazing.

^ True that! I can't wait to see KB in Jedi robes and kicking some Stormtrooper ass. :D

I hope it's a real game...with a real plot and current graphics, and not just a quickly thrown together series of cheesy lightsaber combinations

Yeah, what really killed Clone Wars Lightsaber Duels on Wii, aside from being a fairly slapdash game, was that the Wiimote was basically being used as a replacement for button presses in a fairly sub-standard fighting game rather than giving the player actual 1:1 lightsaber controls. 1:1 controls is what people want when they play a Star Wars game, and I hope Star Wars Move delivers.
