Stand-Alone Movies Star Wars Origins: Yoda

I..I dunno about this.

 

We need a film where the Jedi defeat the Sith and the Mandalorians a thousand generations before A New Hope! This or nothing else!!!

 

I like the idea. Always hated the rumor that another trilogy would be a Pre-PT one, focusing on young Yoda. So, good, this seems appropriate.

 

Boo to this. It would totally take away from Yoda's mystique. Also, how the hell would anyone empathise with him!?

I second the notion of an Old Republic film (or trilogy), followed by a KOTR adaptation (two parter).

 

I'd actually like to see a Yoda movie.

 

Sometimes, it's best not to give what the fanboys want, or think they want.

 

While my first reaction is "NOO!" because i kinda prefer Yoda as a mystery, like everything else SW coming up i'm willing to keep an open mind about it. I love Yoda, and i do think he's a great character.

I have no problem with this.Yoda is my favorite Star Wars character.

 

I don't think this would be good, it didn't help Wolverine in the comics or movies I feel it'd have a similar effect on Yoda.

Only just heard about this, they certainly have a huge scope timeline-wise to pluck a story from, but I'm not sure it's a good idea.

 

Tell that to Claremont's and Miller's fantastic mini-series!!

About a Yoda movie. I love the character, not sure about this movie idea though, his character seems to work best in smaller doses and keeping his mystique is also important. I liked the Seven Jedi idea more.

 

7 Jedi with Yoda in it would be perfection.

Agreed. As long as they can make it fit nicely within the SW timeline, then I have no reason to complain.

 

This would be the ideal way to do a solo Yoda movie, having him leading the seven Jedi, or they maybe needn't all be Jedi, it's a way to maybe use one or two Jedi from the PT that didn't get much screen time.

 

Doesn't even have to be PT era.

 

Yeah, considering how old he is they could go back in time and have new jedi in. Maybe we'd see a padawan Yoda? or newly knighted? that could be fun...

 

Anyone remember this? An old trading card Lucas had pulled because of it implying a bit of Yoda's backstory.

 

It's gonna be a rom-com about Yoda and Yaddle.

 

Seeing that Yoda died at age 900, they have flexibility as to where they can place the story.If it were up to me, I wouldn't make it an origin story, but instead cover how he earned the rank of master.Him leading a group of Jedi or warriors, seven samurai style would be excellent.

 

lol i'd never seen that before! t: for some reason that reminded me of TOD and i pictured Yoda going all Mola Ran: "Kali maaaa, shakthi deh!"
