The Amazing Spider-Man Starts filming in December

ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype has learned that the Marc Webb-directed Untitled Spider-Man Project will start shooting in December in Los Angeles. We've received no word yet whether Sony's Columbia Pictures will also film in New York. Andrew Garfield stars in the July 3, 2012 release, produced by Laura Ziskin and Avi Arad.

Los Angeles is going to be New York? That's odd. I'm not saying it's new and interesting, cause I know they used Chicago for Gotham and New York before, but it's still odd sounding.

It does not say there will be no location work, it just says they are starting to shoot in LA, just like the other three were shot in LA [with minimal location work in NY].

Maybe if we all start calling this THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, Sony will take a hint and use that for the official title!

The other three movies shot in L.A too, as well as New York and other cities. Producer Grant Curtis on the Spider-Man 2 DVD commentary said that as much as they loved shooting in N.Y., there are budget and access issues to deal with, so they can't do it exclusively.

They'll probably shoot all the house/apartment/school/etc. interiors in LA, as well as anything that can be done on a backlot.

I wouldn´t mind the lizard in the first reboot film, i would prefer him in the 2nd but i take whatever they do as long as they only use green goblin in a 3rd film and not in a comon 2nd darker film, i´m already tired of that take.

filming in december and realesed in 2012. this means that they wil lhave mroe then 1 year for post production.

how is this normal news? this is something that almost never happens in hollywood. this movie will not be rushed.

Lizard could be used with Green Goblin in the second film.

#1: Vulture and Burglar - Dr. Octopus one minute cameo. - Introduction of Gwen Stacy and no Mary Jane.
#2: Lizard and Green Goblin - Electro one minute cameo. - Gwen Stacy plays a greater role and dies. Mary Jane to have small role.
#3: Carnage and Venom - Hydro-Man one minute cameo. Appearance of Black Cat to have large role. Mary Jane to have large role.
