I gave its first issue a heartfelt "meh." I'll stick with it for another couple issues to give it a fair shake, but I have a feeling I'll ultimately drop it.
He gets to punch through peoples heads with Stormwatch and with the JLA? Not so much.![]()

I'd be down with Wonder Woman as a bisexual, or even a full-on lesbian. It kind of makes sense for the culture in which she was raised. Sure, the Amazons knew about men, but they were never permitted to set foot on Paradise Island. Clearly, the implication is that Amazons must've found companionship, both sexual and otherwise, with other Amazons. That Diana hasn't had any desire for women in decades is actually a lot more weird than the opposite.
I would absolutely love it if Wonder Woman came out as a lesbian or as bisexual and I really hope that does happen
I'm hoping that her next love interest is a woman![]()
Powergirl.
You said if DC ever changed Batwoman's sexuality, you would become incredibly offended and never read a DC book again.I would absolutely love it if Wonder Woman came out as a lesbian or as bisexual and I really hope that does happen

WW is to iconic for DC to ever even entertain the idea of her being bi or lesbian. They wont even let people change her costume that much let alone her sexual desires.
But I wouldnt mind some Diana/Dinah or Diana/Selena if they ever were to go that route.

Isn't wanting Wonder Woman to turn gay kind of a really hypocritical based on that above statement?
Martian Manhunter is the Justice League.
It's not like he being Bi would come out of nowhere. It's always been there. Unspoken. May as well make it known.
And in this day and age of shock comics, and meaningless deaths, would it really be that big of a deal? I think not.

Also, I think her and the Manhunter would be an interesting couple. She's made of clay, he's as malleable as clay.
Plus he's a shape shifter. He can be a chick sometimes and it wouldn't be weird at all!
It's perfect!![]()
And yet one of the Robins has been raped 3 times.![]()

Which is why I said lesbian and not bisexual. The fact that she has had relationships with men does not rule out the possibility of bisexuality, something that has been hinted in the past and is very likely due to her upbringing in a society that A) Has no men and B) Has many cultural elements of ancient Greece, where everybody pretty much ****ed everybody else.
I disagree with that thinking though. Also, the two things really aren't the same at all. Homosexuals are a minority group that are woefully underrepresented in fiction as strong likeable main characters in stories that aren't completely focused on gay rights. A gay character's sexual orientation changing is a setback for social acceptance. A straight character's orientation changing is not.

So now we're rooting shock comics and meaningless deaths? It's not like he being Bi would come out of nowhere. It's always been there. Unspoken. May as well make it known.

Original character love interests never seem to go over that well or even work in story all that well due to the many many well developed interpersonal relationships that already exist in the DCU.
So, out of all of the DC ladies who do you think Diana should make googly eyes at?
I disagree with that thinking though.
No one should be looked at as a "minority group". At least not outside of the political arena. Batwoman being a lesbian made total sense for her character, and that's what makes her such a strong gay character. It's not a political move, it's not a defining part of it...it's one aspect of many that make up her overall awesomeness.
The minute you start slanting your views, policies, writing - whatever you want to call it - in favor of some political agenda...even a very positive, productive one - you've failed to really treat everyone as equals.
If it made sense in a storyline for Wonder Woman to be bisexual or gay, I'd have no problem with it. But to root for the change to be made just so gays can get more exposure...I strongly disagree with.
That said, I totally understand the lack of diverse characters. But at the same time, all of our favorite characters were created 50, 60, even 80 years ago when society was, well, prejudice *******s. And yes, that sucks.
But I don't think "affirmative action" with classic characters is the key to fixing that problem. Creating new characters like Batwoman, is.
I'd like to see her hook up with either Io, Black Canary or Artemis
Io and Wonder Woman were obviously in love with eachvother in the Rucka stories and i think there is tons of sexual chemistry between Wonder Woman and Artemis and Black Canary
And Canary is already canonically bisexual so thats one half of the pairing already out of the closet![]()
Yes, it's politically significant in a world of bigots and homophobes.I'm not advocating affermative action for it's own sake. I think a non traditional sexuality fits Diana's character and is in line with the views and intentiones of her creator.
But my point is that making an established gay character straight is still much worse and more significant than making an established straight character gay, because one group is under represented and the other isn't. Thus, it is not hypocrytical to be in favor of "lezzing up" Diana and be against having Batwoman "scared straight."
So now we're rooting shock comics and meaningless deaths?![]()
