State your unpopular film related opinion - Part 1

_ Not technically a zombie movie I know, but still I think I prefer 28 Days later than Snyder's Dawn.
Also I think I like Romero's Day of the Dead more than Romero's Dawn of the Dead. On a related note, Shaun of the Dead is one of the best zombie films I've seen.

_ I don't really need a shot of Batman standing on or surrounded by gargoyles. At this point, it's a bit of a cliche. I don't mind if it's in a video game adaptation a la Arkham City, but in a film, meh.
Except if Batman has to go to Paris (who knows, he has no jurisdiction after all:cwink:) and ends up investigating inside the Notre Dame Church, where there are some beautiful gargoyles.
I've said it before but what I'd like to see now is a period piece Batman film, set in the 30's, with a Joker that looks like Conrad Veidt in TMWL (my avy). Tod Browning's Freaks meets Howard Hawks' Scarface:awesome:.

I don't know if this is unpopular or not, but after watching it again, I think "The Simpsons Movie" should have been nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars a few years back. It was definitely better than "Surf's Up" (which was one of the nominees that year).

Not unpopular. A lot of people were pissed that Surf's Up was nominated over The Simpson's Movie (which was much better than the previous 8, 9 seasons before the movie).

Related unpopular TV opinion: The Mike Scully seasons of The Simpsons are really good. Admittedly, they don't have the human element that the previous seasons did, but the humor in them is as good as ever.

Talking about The Simpsons, I think Family Guy and American Dad are terrible. Simpsons-wannabe all of those.

I agree though I think they're still funny (well, the early seasons of Family Guy and the later seasons of American dad are funny)

Not going that far. Nothing beats the first 7, 8 seasons of The Simpsons.

Definetly

Yes

I was very pleasantly surprised. Ever since season 9/10, The Simpsons started going downhill. I was glad that it went back to it's roots of lampooning political stuff, but not going too overboard with it or going for cheap laughs oo much.

Not a Simpson fan at all. Not my cup of tea (aka sense of humor)

I much prefer Family Guy. Well, the reruns I watch on TBS anyway. I have no idea what state of quality they're in now.

The Simpsons and Family Guy are pretty much the same in terms of type of humor.

Not a big fan of Family Guy either, however American Dad never fails to have me rollin', I love it.

Family Guy has never been funny. The Simpsons was hilarious for it's first ten seasons or so. It's been painfully unfunny for the last few years.

Family Guy and American Dad really got old for me a few years ago. I'd rather watch the worst Simpsons episodes than just about any Family Guy, except for maybe a few episodes from the first couple seasons.

First, you're breaking my heart with not being a simpson guy. :csad:

And second, Family Guy isn't funny at all now. It used to be more clever in the earlier seasons, but over the course of the series instead of being clever, they just started being lazy and testing how much they could get away with on tv.

Eh, in some ways, but Family Guy tends to push the envelope a lot more than the Simpsons, with mixed results.

Sadly, this is true. The Simpsons is pretty bad now. I wish they would end it.

At least American Dad is funny.

Here are some unpopular film opinions:

- Despite the later seasons, I still want to see a theatrical Family Guy movie. I think, like the Simpsons, since Seth MacFarlane would probably most likely write it, it could be very good. MacFarlane's upcoming movie Ted could either make or break this opinion though.

- Speaking of desires for movies, I'm really disappointed that there will never be a Napoleon movie directed by Stanley Kubrick, but that's not the unpopular opinion. My unpopular opinion is that it would've been Kubrick's best movie.

Eric Bana made a better Bruce Banner than Norton. Norton was good too, and I loved his portrayal but Bana gave a much performance.

Looking at that avatar, was Jennifer Connelly in the Bana Hulk movie? If she was, that film was better.

Ang Lee's Hulk is a much better movie than The Incredible Hulk, but both are flawed.
