here's an unpopular opinion: leonardo dicaprio's never won an oscar, but that doesn't mean anything. the fact that he's been nominated so many times - that is an incredible feat in and of itself. plenty of actors arguably worthy of a nomination don't even get that.

I honestly don't think anyone cares much about Leo not getting an Oscar. It's more talked about because of the jokes/memes surrounding it I think.

As you said it doesnt mean much. He still is arguably the best actor of his generation and arguably one of the best period.
