Then what would be the point really? You want the film to be the exact same, it sounds like, so just...watch the original? Do you hate black and white movies so much?
I don't have anything against them, I enjoy what I can of them, I prefer modern audio recording.

I got one!

Mystery Science Theater 3000
didn't vibe with me at all. Maybe it was hyped up too much, but I watched a couple (granted it was some time ago) and mostly found myself bored. I guess to really nail down why I didn't like them I'd have to go back and watch it, whatever the case I've never been interested since that initial impression. Heck, maybe I just saw a couple of lousy ones and there's far better material in their body of work.

My skull awaits your hastily thrown rocks!

Not very familiar with MST 3000 unfortunately, but as far as its podcast legacy, here goes: We Hate Movies > The Flop House > HDTGM

I agree, I don't find em funny at all. I like the concept though

There were a few particular MST3K episodes I enjoyed (The Screaming Skull for one), but I actually prefer their Rifftrax stuff.

Check out The Final Sacrifice (AKA Rowsdower). It's the best episode. I've shown it to people who hate MST3K and even they love it.

Other good ones include Prince of Space, Space Mutiny and Cave Dwellers. Unfortunately though, if the movie they pick to watch really, REALLY sucks, it can be hard for them to make it entertaining. Manos the Hands of Fate is the most obvious example of this.

Also, some of the in-between stuff with Dr Forrester or Pearl is really tough to sit through. But overall I still love the show.

I saw one episode of that show, it's about a Pantherman movie.
Yeah, didn't think it was something I'd watch.

You need to see U.S. Catman in Lethal Track.

It's not an MST3K, but my God, it SHOULD be. It's about a guy who gets bitten by a radioactive cat and gains the power to turn his TV on and off telepathically. He becomes a superhero and faces off against an evil drug dealing priest.

:hehe: Ok then.

1. Batman 89 is my favorite as well. I totally know that The Dark Knight is the better movie, more complex, better written, but Batman 89 gave me every important thing in Batman to me: the darkness, the icon, the grim and the fun. Keaton didn't have anyone before him doing this type of Batman, he didn't look the part, yet he did a terrific job.

2. Me too. At the time it was a common thing to have big changes in the comic book movies, and sequels were not granted. Batman was supposed to be a one movie thing. And having Joker as the Waynes' murderer was a nice way to explain their connection (they were made to and by each other) and also to wrap the whole story.

3. Absolutely. The first Burton's bat-suit had everything and it was the only one with the cape covering the body, which made him have that cool bat-silhouette he has NEVER had again. And as much as I don't appreciate Forever much, Kilmer's panther suit was also good.

1. I like that Keaton looks like he's a wimp. You wouldn't suspect that the guy is actually Batman. And I think it's too much focus on male bodies in superhero movies today...who cares if the actor has big biceps or a sixpack. It's the acting that's important, and Keaton did a great job.

I also think Burtonman is the most "realistic" Batman, in a way. Realistic in the world it's set in, that is. A giant Bat-creature just seems right at home in a nightmarish city like Burton's Gotham. And I can totally buy that you would transform into a clown if you fell into a vat of chemicals...

If I saw Burtonman on a rooftop in Burton's Gotham, I would probably think it was a real vampire or demon. If I saw Baleman in Chicagotham City, I would probably think: "some crazy guy in a gimp suit...better stay away". Don't get me wrong, I love all the movies in the TDKT (Rises doesn't deserve the hate it gets), and Bale is a very good Batman. But the batsuit almost feels a bit unnecessary in Nolan's world.

If you make superhero movies too real, it becomes surreal.

2. Yeah, sometimes they need to change stuff for movies to make sense. Spider-Man's webshooters being organic is another example. Why waste time showing Peter Parker make webshooters? And, if he can crawl walls and stuff like that, why not spin his own web?

3. True, I miss that. And I don't care that he can't turn his head:hehe: his stiff movements makes him look more "otherworldly", if you know what I mean. Like a gargoyle came to life.

I'm not saying they should go back to rubber suits, but I think Keaton made it work.

Hm, maybe I'll buy the blu-ray and watch it again this weekend...:woot:

He's got a potty mouth too.

Here's an unpopular opinion...I ****ing love Space Jam.

Oh, it's not a good movie by any means and I acknowledge that it's total childhood nostalgia but it still manages to make me smile lol

-Wonder Woman in BvS did nothing for me. Love WW as a character but I dont not see why people keep pointing out how good she was when she did all of nothing. Nothing special about her in BvS

Who doesn't like Space Jam? Jerks that's who. Love the hell out of that movie. And imo it has the best soundtrack of all time.
I Believe I Can Fly? Seal's cover of Fly Like an Eagle?! BUGGIN (THE BUGS BUNNY RAP WRITTEN BY JAY Z?

...I don't think that's unpopular buddy.

BvS unpopular musings in spoiler:

I'm not familiar with the character in the comics so I didn't really mind that Doomsday looked and acted like a furious cave troll:woot:. I didn't like BvS Luthor because of the writing but it's still the best one I've seen on film, that's how much I disliked Hackman and Spacey in the role, but tbh I have never been that interested in the character in the 1st place. I liked when Lex threw Lois off the building, felt Luthoresque lol. To me BvS got more things right than wrong and even though it was pretty ridiculous at times (The whole BvS thing and its "Sons of Martha" resolution lol, the whole Dawn of Justice situation etc.) and boring and unnecessary at other (Crime alley, superman military funeral, pa kent etc.) at the end of the day as a Batman and comic books fan I dug this strong take on the characters. And I'm looking forward to more Trinity and Batman solo adventures. Also favorite Bruce and Alfred and favorite Superman and Lois, I never really cared for Margot Kidder

Tom Cruise bores the hell out of me. I feel like I've said it in this thread before but the latest news on the Mummy remake that he's starring in just stirred up those feelings again.

Is he playing Imhotep?:cwink: He was a pretty good Lestat imo. I like Cruise but to each their own.
More than the Mummy, I think he would be very interesting in a Jeckyll and Hyde film, possibly modern day.

Rogue One just looks like deleted TFA scenes. Not entirely crazy about it.

I just posted in the rate the trailer thread about Rogue One.

I'm sure it'll be good but the trailer didn't really move me.

I don't know why this should be considered an unpopular opinion because frankly WW was just **** in this movie. Diana's introduction was just laughable. I mean my God, Bruce turns around and sees a woman in the distance who just walks away? This is the very definition of terrible world building where it feels like she was dropped in there by the claw of a committee and told to do something.

When she showed up I didn't care. None of her scenes mattered so why should I care? I wasn't entertained, by that point I was just so tired and sad. Her as WW did nothing, she did nothing remarkable. I'm not even going to judge Gadot because she was barely given anything to do. This wasn't even a performance. It was the definition of a glorified cameo.
