They might. Kind of a waste when you introduce this new team of X-Men and young actors who could very well carry more films.

That would have been too much story at once. Time travel, dealing with two different timelines and in the middle of all that bringing in the new team? Plus, we would have never gotten the Xavier in that movie which was superb.

Black women are suddenly becoming the go to for a lot of shows and movies as leads, but they still are looking for certain types, I guess.

Not as much as you think. They report the stories in the trades and to many, it makes it look more opportunity is coming. Those are probably really the only jobs you hear compared to the many other people hired in this industry on a daily basis.

    which movies?
Other than GuGu M. in the God Particle or Leslie Jones in Ghostbuster I can't remember the last time I read a black woman...or really a woman of any other minority race getting to headline a movie. They might get supporting parts sure, but the main role? Forget about it. I rarely even see them on the shortlists

So we told my dad Jimmy Olsen is black in Supergirl, and his reply was "They're overdoing it. Next we will hear about a black Snow White."

    Get your billions.
    Go for it.

If it doesn't work as well as you wish, I'm sorry.

Didn't WB already do that with Coal Black, one of the more...questionable cartoons of that era?

Doesn't Apocalypse have multiple new actors portraying characters, like Storm and Cyclops?

i meant new cast as older Cyclops, etc.

Basically i wouldnt mind adult versions of the characters with new actors playing the characters in the next few years. Or if it's the same actors for the most part but the team dynamics (more Cyclops, Jean having more of a personality) be different

    Merry Melodies?
I may have seen something akin to it 15 years ago.

I agree, especially when the visionary mind didn't make anything noteworthy.

I only see that with Zack Snyer and Guillermo Del Toro films. Maybe it's contractual?

When comedies do that I give them a pass since they're obviously poking fun.

Yeah, agreed. It's meant as a joke.

When WB says it about Zack Snyder (or Del Toro, IMO) it should be meant as a joke, but...

Maybe it's a warner bros. thing, they did the same with George Miller.

    Probably.

As Mr. Cranky once said, "Every director who doesn't know how to use a comb is labeled a 'genius.'"
