I don't care for Captain America Civil War. The action is great but the plot and story doesn't even begin to survive my sniff test. By the time he drops the shield I am furious at the stupidity IMO of events. That horrible, easily refutable presentation by Ross gets me also.

There is a lot to like but the negative stuff kind of overwhelms it for me. The 2nd marvel movie I do not own ( other IM3) although I watch it on Netflix to see my opinion has changed. Yep, I liked it less.

I thought Kaecillius was pretty decent. Superbly acted by Mads. He didn't have a lot of screen time but when he was there he had a strong presence. And his villainy was believable. He was human, not just a moustache twirling giant ham. I could buy that he felt wronged by the Ancient One. I could buy that his character believed in what he was doing, even if he was misguided. There was a conviction to him.
I certainly agree, certainly better than how he presented Le Chiffre.

But what I liked about Doctor Strange was how it told the heroes origin, but also Mordo's descent into eventual villainy. Mordo's characterisation was just as strong as Strange's. Again, he was a believable human and you could totally understand why he turned away from the Ancient One's path.
Mordo's descent actually felt rushed to me, I'd be more willing to accept it if he chose to be a recluse instead.

I enjoy X-men 3 more than the first one, which is pretty tough to sit through nowadays.

I thought Mads was underused- though not too terribly. I agree with everything you're saying though. In fact, my only real issue with Doctor Strange was how quickly Strange went from doctor to awesome magic-man. In the course of the film's timeline, whether intentionally or just because of the pacing, it felt like Strange's training took all of 2-3 weeks. I'd liked to have seen that aspect stretched out a bit more -even in a montage- anything to illustrate at least a few months went by, if not longer.

I don't know how unpopular this opinion may be, but I am actually glad that the X-Men are not in the MCU.

I'm not sure on the popularity of that opinion either, but I've definitely heard it before. I agree too, the MCU is (mostly) keeping itself nice and tidy. Adding mutants into the mix, along with all the drama that comes with the X-men, could mess things up real fast.

1.5 movies and 2 episodes later, Drew Goddard is still an insipid writer.

I agree with this, Fox is one of the studios who got comic book movies taken more seriously with their Xmen '99 movie. Plus if they ever get the balls to go R rated with their other movies then it would be even better.

I agree with everything said about the X-Men movies here regarding inclusion of that franchise in the MCU.

Deathly Hallows 1 was better than Deathly Hallows 2
Voldermort is one of the worst fantasy villains I've ever seen.
Michael Jackson was an above average actor.

Everyone knows that puberty is the real villain in Harry Potter.

Casino Royale is the best Craig's Bond film. Better than Skyfall.

I think many people, me included, would agree.

I was surprised to see Skyfall's rated higher on RT. I don't know. Maybe because of Deakins' cinematography and INSANELY popular title song... It feels like people forgot Casino Royale.

1994's Richie Rich is a really great kids/family film.
