There was, but he was busy copying Superman and Batman and Jurassic Park.

It also cribbed music from Sunshine. Literally.

In the case of Superman and Batman, that would have been intentional, as they did in fact use music from those movies as the temp score for certain scenes, so if that was the intention to hark back to those conventional sh movies, that was the job the composer was given.

So what's the consensus here for Cars 2? I know the Critics are mostly bashing it, but I thought it was good. At least, with a score less than 50% on RT, I think this is an unpopular film opinion.

Well I'm not gonna bother with it as the first one is a piece of ****, and by far the worst Pixar has done and most likely will ever do.

I didn't care much for part 1 either, even if I ignore the fact that it's a Pixar film, but I like 2. So long as you don't go in with the expectation one would normally have for Pixar films, it's fine. At least I was entertained.

See now, if I sum it up for you, you definitely won't go see it. I almost didn't go see it... Okay, it's about secret agents investigating conspiracy involving a Big Oil company. Mater, the lovable, southern towtruck from the last film is mistaken for a government contact amidst a big race hosted by this big alternative fuel company in which his best friend Lightning MacQueen is participating. Unable to convince the others he really is just a normal towtruck and not under cover, he haplessly is brought along for the task of bringing this evil Big Oil conspiracy to light.... But trust me, you should go see it.

I'm an Andrey Tarkovsky fan, the king of the leisurely paced movie, so don't pull this "you just didn't like Gladiator cause you're too simple to have an attention span" crap.

Gladiator may be overrated...but I hardly think it's dull.

In one review, I heard Mater called the Jar Jar Binks of the Cars universe. I couldn't agree more. Maybe for some kids, the southern pastiche of Mater is humorous, though as an adult I see nothing funny about him and I find him annoying more often than not.

I don't like Russel Crowe or Joaquin Phoenix mainly because of how horrible they were in this boring movie.

titanic is a good movie
i liked the original amityville horror, and the remake, although the rest are crap. (I enjoy the posession though lol)
