It seems our friends at statuetoys.com have removed their Dark Knight hottoys from their site. I sure hope all of us that pre-ordered see out 33% returned right back to our wallets.

As for those who cancelled their order and lost 10% (or whatever) get that refunded to them too as statuetoys was unable to provide you with your toys.

Maybe it just means they're not taking any further orders.

...

I'm going to sit here and hope that it just means they're not taking any further orders. Yup. Gonna sit here. Hoping.

Wouldn't they send out an email if it would affect our orders?

No, of course not, it's Statuetoys. Right you are.

Goddamn it's so unprofessionnal the way the handle business.

COMMUNICATION, PLEASE!!!!

Here's their info in case it suddenly disappear from the site:

Address: 10908 Bluff Bend Drive, Austin, TX 78753. Phone: 512-382-0762

Anyone heard anything from these clowns yet?

They told me in December that the BRJ would be ready in April, which is almost gone now. I emailed them a week and a half ago but got no reply, not even an automated response.

I'm starting to think it's chargeback time.

Does anyone live in Austin? Perhaps we should get a camcorder and pay them a visit

Statuetoys seems to have a policy of never answering your first email. A second email, particularly with keywords like "refund" or "chargeback", has a good chance of being answered within a day or so.

They now tell me:

These items are due out in the 2nd quarter of 09.

So in two months when I still don't have it I'll shoot them another email to see what their excuse will be this time.

These items are due when they make a good Ghost Rider movie.

HA HA HA HA HA

That is beyond a joke. I do not understand how companies can get away with treating their customers with such contempt. Forbidden Planet are another company that are totally useless. They have no idea when and even if they will get items in stock yet they are happy to advertise them on their site. Somebody please explain to me why they cannot get a direct answer from their suppliers in this day and age? You know what I did when my supplier could not give me concrete information regarding a product? I found another one who could. Companies like this deserve to be taken down for their sheer lack of professionalism.

Add AmokTime to that list. I should have listened to people telling me not to order from that place. I didn't, and I got screwed.

This kind of crap is exactly why I will not pre-order stuff, especially stuff this expensive. Too risky. I can wait.

Pre-ordering stuff is fine as long as they don't charge you until they ship. I've pre-ordered from Alter Ego and BBTS and IMO it's the best way to make sure you can get your hands on limited supply items and often at discount rates.

What Statuetoys is doing however is inexcusable and ridiculous. :down

Heh.

Well it took them a month to admit it, but they've finally sent out emails saying they won't be able to fulfill any Hot Toys Dark Knight orders. Hopefully my refund request will be processed soon.

Oh well. No BRJ for me.

At least I'll be getting the new cop/mob Joker. Hopefully. Maybe. Pfft.

Exactly.

So far Bigbadtoystore has done me no wrong...and they don't charge until they ship the item.

Wait so they sent out email saying they didn't ship out a single one...? When I canceled my order they took around $12 bucks from me... can I get that back?

They were not this specific. Their wording was:

We have just been informed that we will not be able to fill your Hot Toys Dark Knight order that you placed with StatueToys.com.

We are truly sorry for this, as we are aware that you have been waiting for your order for quite a while.
They then went on to say we could request a refund, or use the deposit towards anything in their Ebay store, and also receive an additional 20% off.

I would bet you're out $12 because you didn't wait long enough before canceling. :whatever:

This is why I didin't order from them. After looking over thier website I got a very bad feeling. I mean let's face it, that site looks like dog ****. I even gave them a second chance and tried calling the number. The message on the machine was for some goddamn construction company.

Get your money back man, trust me. Call your credit card company and forward them the email.

I can send my cousin Tony over to "see" them. :cwink:

Guys! Please! Next time order from Urban Collector.
