Its not even about being an ethnic or cultural minoritiy. Wealthy people are a political majority, meaning they have every advantage available to them in this country, so when some rich whiney brat complains about people being mean to him because his daddy makes good money...The need for me to projectile vomit all over him becomes paramount.

Saying wealthy people are a persecuting minority is like saying everyone is a persecuted minority. Everyone gets made fun of. The point with African Americans, women and homosexuals (to name a few) is that there is a culture of dominance associated with it.

That was my point. I thought I made it pretty clear that while they are perhaps an economic minority, they hold a majority of power.

You have got to be joking. First, the opulent are an economic, and perhaps cultural, minority which is entirely different from an ethnic minority. Second, because of their status on the economic ladder and thus their overall influence, if a rich person is mocked it is most likely by somebody who is beneath them in terms of power, something that is far less prevelent in discrimination towards ethnic minorities. Actually think for a minute and maybe you'll see that you're coming off as a whining brat.

Doesn't matter. Jocks, nerds, and virtually everyone else is made fun of in the media...ever seen Screech or Zach or Slaghter from Saved by the Bell. The point is you have recourse because you're rich. When an African American or homosexual is made fun of he has no recourse since he has no current stake in the status quo.

I have a sense of humor, but saying you ACTUALLY seriously believe that rich people "buy nice cars because they have a small penis" isnt funny, its just stupid...especially because whoever it was actually really believed it.

You could have just said what kind of car you drive...not go the prententious route and post a picture of yourself...two pictures of yourself. Or you could have gone the humble route and just simply stated that you own a very nice vehicle and did not appreciate the comment. Or, you could have ignored the comment entirely. Really, you walked into it and pretty much deserved it.
