Horror Stephen King's "IT" Part I and Part II

Easily the most exciting bit of the trailer for me is this:

I don’t see how this can be anything other than Bill being projected out into the macroverse/todash space.

They’re actually doing it...

SO GOOD! :chd:

The house of mirrors scene with Bill and that kid looks really intense, I can't wait for that. Also, I'm so relieved to see that they've kept Mike as the one who stayed in Derry. I was afraid that they'd give that role to Ben after he got given book!Mike's interest in Derry and its history in the first movie, and also after how generally sidelined Mike was in the first film. Mike definitely deserves to get his due focus in Chapter 2, I love the book character so much.

Roll on September!
This. I was worried they were going to do that too, Mike got majorly side lined in Chapter 1.

I will say this, people are absolutely unprepared for how emotionally draining the last 20 minutes of this movie actually is.

And how metaphysical it gets... if they really go as far as they could do. People expecting your bog-standard horror movie confrontation are possibly in for something they won't believe.

As for a big King fan like me, if I see even a hint of the turtle, I will scream.

...and if they managed to get a reference to The Tower in, I might explode.

Damn that trailer was epic. This looks like it's going to be vastly superior to Part 1 which is pretty much what I expected given the level of talent involved. So many crazy, trippy shots in that trailer and visually it just looks like it's on a whole other level. I really hope Muschietti goes all out with the cosmic horror in this, and judging by the trailer it definitely looks like he will. It's going to be glorious.

It's Bill Skarsgard, so I'd assume it is Pennywise - unless he's doing a dual role? Didn't the Fukunaga script for Part 1 have an origin of the clown scene?

Perhaps we're getting some background on Pennywise to try understanding why the clown is his favorite form to take.

Nah, that would be like doing a Joker origin movie. Dumb idea to explain something that doesn’t need explaining.

Looks every bit as amazing as I'd hoped. The cinematography in that funhouse scene...

Also, as others have said, if they even HINT at a turtle, the world just might explode with hype.

Well, there was that easter egg with Georgie's toy in the first one.

I love the first film. Love it. But something feels off about this one to me. The cinematography looks worse and I get no chills whatsoever from it.

This looks so good.

So damn lucky to get these two movies of the book.

Might be making this up in my head, but I like the double meaning of Pennywise’s “I missed you!”
