Methinks the wife hired a hitman to make it look like a murder-suicide ala girlfriend to McNair; boom she gets inheritance. But me very cynical.

The two (girlfriend and McNair) apparently shared a car's lease, so this wasn't some super secret affair.

I would agree if the car wasn't registered to his restaurants address and not his or her home.

I think it was suppose to be hush hush. I think he got spooked when she got arrested Thursday by the same cop that arrested him in '03. The case was thrown out back then, because the judge said the officer did not have enough just cause to pull him over. Unfortunately for his family, we may never know what happened that night.

It started about six months ago, when former Titans quarterback Steve McNair exchanged phone numbers with Sahel Kazemi, a then-19-year-old waitress working at Dave & Buster's restaurant at Opry Mills. Saturday, the relationship ended in tragedy, as the couple was found shot to death in a downtown condominium.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the events leading up to the deaths, but according to friends of Kazemi, she was smitten and so was McNair.

For her 20th birthday in late May, McNair got her a black Cadillac Escalade. Her family met him over sushi dinner that same weekend. Before that, Kazemi zipped around in his Bentley, telling family and friends about the generosity of her new beau — a former professional athlete.

"We met him because I don't watch football and didn't know who he was," said Farzin Abdi, Kazemi's nephew, who was in town from Jacksonville, Fla. to retrieve the body. "We went out to dinner and she was so happy and was having fun. Were we happy about the relationship? No."

Kazemi's family and friends pieced together a portrait of their relationship — one they were leery of because of her age — as police confirmed on Sunday that McNair was shot four times. Police have stopped just shy of calling it a murder-suicide at the Second Avenue condominium where both of them died.

"It's hard right now to imagine what people are saying," Abdi said. "I can't believe it because she was a sweet girl. This is hard on us."

That does seem pretty fishy, eh? The fact that his friend didn't call 911 until an hour after finding the bodies doesn't seem right either. As for them being dead for 2 days - they were both seen early Thursday & McNair was seen, as well as heard from, Saturday morning. Just a strange, case all around.

A relative of the woman found shot to death with Steve McNair(notes) says Nashville police told him she recently purchased a gun.

Farzin Abdi is Sahel Kazemi’s nephew, but the two were raised together like brother and sister. Abdi says he does not believe Kazemi would have killed the former Tennessee Titans quarterback and herself.

The two were found dead on Saturday in a condominium owned by McNair.

Abdi says police told him they are almost sure the 20-year-old Kazemi was the shooter, but he says she had no motive.

Nashville police didn’t immediately have a reaction to Abdi’s comments.

Abdi says Kazemi believed McNair was divorcing his wife and she was preparing to sell her furniture to move in with him.

I suppose it's possible that Kazemi told Norfleet and the Caucasian Persuasion that she was going to murder McNair and that's how they knew about it.

Her aunt's quote was incredibly creepy, too.
