The Dark Knight Stop the Bettany/Hulme bickering!

I may not have posted on these boards for a long while, but I have read many arguments over Hulme and Bettany for the role of Joker. It's fine that many have their favorite cast choice, but it's really getting out of hand.
I've seen Bettany fans bash and ridicule those who oppose Bettany as a cast choice. It has to stop. This goes for everyone else as well. The Bettany fans aren't the only ones. I may not have the power to do anything about it, but i just wanted to open up people's minds to treat each other with respect.

I may be a Hulme fan, but I won't bash anyone or try to convert those who think differently. So lets try to remember to respect other people's choices.

some people seem to be obsessive and more concerned with trying to correct someone to see things how they see it lol....

some people are going to take this topic too seriously....it's the nature of comics...it's much like the people who follow star wars...

I am more of a fan and collected comics as a youth...

plus I'm pleased that they are finally doing batman justice....

but I'm just a fan...this shouldn't be something that someone obsesses over...

I am as Pro-Bettany as you can get, but I am not anti-Hulme nor am I disrespectful to Hulme fans (unless they disrespect me or one of my amigos), DV8 and I are friends and he is as pro-Hulme as I am pro-Bettany.

Also there are no rumors of Bettany not wanting to be the Joker - at all, in fact he wants the role as much as Hulme does.

You do realize though that people can post whatever they want to on these boards right? That's the whole purpose of them, so we can discuss what we're given. Just as along as it isn't false or repititious, Norman or all the other Bettany and Hulme fans aren't doing anything wrong. Just merely having a bit of fun with the rumors of who exactly will get the role. Even though some can see both actors doing justice to the character, and having their own opinions of why the decide to stick by their choices.

If they bother you that much, all you have to do is not read them.

Honestly, you're kidding yourself if you think this "bickering" is going to stop. It's only going to escalate as we get closer and closer to the announcement. And it won't even stop there. Once we do get the announcement, we'll be flooded with "So-and-so should have gotten teh role!" or "So-and-so sucks!!" or "Ten reasons why so-and-so is better than other said actor."

But in all seriousness, despite what other websites may say (namely BOF), I don't see alot of flat-out bickering on SHH, at least not to the point of utter annoyance. You want to see bickering? IMDb is just a URL away.

Because of two actors? I doubt this board would go through something like that. I don't think it would escalate to a point where people are cursing at eachother and starting pointless arguments, that has yet to happen. All we've had this far is proper discussions with the rumors, and some people agreeing with one another along with some standing by their own opinion.

The only people who've gotten flamed are the new ones. Who start threads like "Nolan is leaving the franchise" or "The official Joker picture!" or even make remarks about are current posters to so that they can earn their respect because they're "new."

As of now, there's just a friendly wager between Norman and DV8 about who will get the role between Bettany and Hulme. It's never gotten out of hand where they're practically at eachother's throats, or when one had to report the other to a mod. Even with fans of Bettany and Hulme.

Besides, I'd rather have a nice little community where we can debate with each other in a respectful, and perhaps sometimes joking, fashion.
