Storm & T'Challa Joining Fantastic 4?

Well, this has been in development for a while considering that Susan and Reed are on the outs. What do you guys think of this new team line-up for 2007?

You think so? I think it's a great idea...Panther has always had a place with the FF and if it's temporary, why not shake things up a bit.

It's not as if the FF haven't had other heroes step in to "cover" for the original four members. Crystal, Medusa, Sharon, Namor, She-Hulk, etc.

I think it's great! I always love it when past FF alumni (Panther, obviously) re-visit the team.

This book once ran roundabout two YEARS without Reed Richards...it will do fine with him on the sidelines patching things up with Sue while the others take up the slack.

As Lightning just said; this is hardly the first membership shake-up the team has gone through.

I wonder if Storm and T'Challa will don versions of the classic FF uniforms like Sharon, Jennifer and Crystal have done in the past? It wouldn't be out of T'Challa's expertise to create something awesome using vibranium...and maybe he could go mask-less for once.

In looking at April's solicitations, I see that the FF are appearing in Black Panther, written by that Hudlin hack.
I want him kept away from the FF and anything Jack and Stan created. He's already screwed with Doom by putting racist words in his mouth.

That FF is by McDuffie, thank God.
Hudlin's Black Panther is the one to avoid.

I'm gonna have to track down the Panther issues in question to read this Doom/racist stuff for myself.
This, and now the new "what if" story that has Mary Jane dying because of Peter Parker's radioactive sperm - both have got me seeing red.

I'm about ready to start a freakin' website over the slow decay of Marvel.

I'll uh, have to figure out how to set up a website first, though...

NRAMA: Any clues as to where we'll see Reed and/or Sue next? And will Storm be involved in the coming X-event now that she's a major player in the "Heroes" corner of the Marvel Universe?

JQ: The simple answers are as follows - Sue and Reed don't have to be on the team in order to be in the book; and yes, Storm will be involved in the upcoming X-Men event. That's one of the beauties of her and T-Challa being married, while they are now a family, they also have ties to their previous lives that aren't easily severed.

Hehehe, sorry, I couldn't help but giggle at that one t: I'm actually high hopes for the idea. Although I would have prefered Sue and Storm working side by side csad: ), it's still a TERRIFIC experience for BP and Ororo, especially since they can grow closer as a super family . Plus I'm very curious at how Storms powers will work around Johnny, If BP'S leadership skills will be a bother to Benn and HT.

I'd prefer it if the replacements were extended family members, like Crystal, She-Hulk, Luke Cage, even Thundra or Wyatt Wingfoot.

Crystal needs to be back in the pages of FF, member or not. Talk about scenes that would write themselves!

okay so sorry if im gonna sound stuuuuupid but what happened to sue and reed? i dont follow the comics and i was just wondering

As the Civil War came to a crisis, Reed and Sue found themselves on opposite sides of the superhero registration act. Sue was against it and was horrified at Reed working so closely on things like the creation of Clor, the Thor clone that killed Bill Foster, and the prison facility in the negative zone. She left Reed to join Cap's group. When Cap surrendered, she and Reed decided to take a leave from the FF and work on getting their marriage patched up.

I will have to wait and see how Storm and BP fit in with the group. They are so serious that I can't see them mixing it up with Ben and Johnny. T'Challa's smart but not quite at Reed's level of coming up with some gizmo at the last minute. He's more like a Batman type hero who just happens to have some counterweapon in his utility belt. I am curious to see how McDuffie writes them into the title. I was impressed with his one shot story about a year ago that was about Reed and Victor getting together for a dinner on Latverian Reconciliation Day.
