Story Gives FF2 Update

I've been going crazy prepping this thing. Just got back from Vancouver, which is of course where we will be filming the movie, and things are shaping up. It's the hard part of the phase where I have to make the ..'s work. Even with 100+ mil, there's never enough money. Looking at the plan for the new Baxter Building interior and it's going to be hot. We're going more high tech and we're giving Reed Richards and the gang more gadgets this time around. The "4" logo will be everywhere as we are used to seeing it. They are a corporation now.

I'm going to use some looks that have been inspired from more recent comics, like in "The Ulimate Exstinction" and a little from the "Ultimate Fan Four" series. I know what you're thinking "Kirby, Kirby, Kirby!" There will be much props given to Kirby throughout the movie.

What I'm really excited about is the Fantasticar. It's coming guys in all it's glory. Wait until you see it. It's going to split in pieces and all that. Johnny and Ben fight over who should fly it. All the fun you expect.

I always have the same question: Have you seen Barbershop or not?
You know, the critically acclaimed film that launched the man's career? the only film he's made where he actually had a measure of creative control as opposed to these studio projects he's been brought on to ever since? I notice most of you Story-bashers tend to have only seen FF and maybe Taxi -and you think you can judge the man's abilities based on that.
Tim "I-Can't-Tell-a" Story... Man, that just gets funnier every time I see someone else parroting it.

I don't know why some are whining about it. It's okay for Batman to drive the batmobile over freakin' rooftops, but the Fantasticar is gonna be silly? Come on.

Done correctly, the fantasticar will be one of the coolest things ever seen in a comic book movie. I'm looking forward to it.

Of course I also want to see HERBIE make at least a cameo appearance, so what do I know?

It will probably be a jet/space vehicle of sorts like the X-jet (Blackbird) except capable of interstellar travel. It's probably how they meet the surfer in the first place. I guess it's time for a speculation thread, seeing as though we are a year away from this thing.

I hate how they're suddenly rich and all of their problems from the first film are gone.

Tim Story's ability to direct a big film such as this is still somewhat questionable, but if he says he's going to make the Fantastic Four look more like the Fantastic Four, I'm all for it.

Like it or not, the Fantasticar is part of what makes them what they are. They've been flying over Manhatten in it for the past 40 years.

It's one of the things I can't wait to see, and I want it to be at least similar to what it looks like in the comics.

Ummm, its one article. You think they are going to write an entire story around the Fantasticar? LOL ok.
