Sci-Fi Stranger Things (Netflix) - Part 1

I disliked the season. It was a disappointment, to me. The characters, to me, felt more like caricatures than what they did, I thought they stopped dealing with personal intense issues, the comedy and the story kinda just amounts to giant monster. Not to mention the pointless russian stuff, which is more a plot device and is kinda more or less there as a plot block and device, to me.

I wonder if they'll expedite the production of Season 5 because of this.
One would hope. I also hope they don't get any funny ideas from IT: Chapter Two and use CGI to de-age the kids because if it looked awkward on a major film budget, it certainly wouldn't look good on a show budget, even if it is Netflix's flagship series.

they muat have done a great job bc I never noticed

I didn’t find Hopper to be an ass in season 3, but Mike really annoyed me throughout. I get why they went that way with him but it was just too much. I hope he’s less of any angsty jerk in season 4.
I remember that bit where Hopper was trying to have a conversation with Mike and Eleven and Mike made that snarky, dismissive remark. Right then, I was ready for Hop to open-hand slap that little **** across the room.

I don't believe you should hit your kid. Thankfully, Mike isn't Hopper's kid. :o

The kids look so much older now.

Maybe there will be a two year time jump. Have it take place in 1987 rather than 1986 as a way to naturally age the kids

Isn’ it okay that they age? They’re supposed to be older each new season.
Yes it is and part of the attraction of a coming of age feature. I just want to see all the transitions (like we got with the Harry Potter kids). That is less effective with big gaps.
