Its great. The environments are super destructible, things are flying everywhere in a gun battle, explosions, wood, granite everything in the vicinity of the action just blowing up in your face slow motion. The only problem seems to be the camera, sometimes it feels a little slow when trying to go up against a whole room of guys shooting at you from all angles. But other than that it was awesome. Plus once you beat the demo on the harder difficulty levels you unlock more moves and stuff. Its a lot of fun.

Thanks for the heads up, i'm gonna go download it now.

Mine finally finished. It's actually really cool, I wasn't too pumped for this game but I liked it alot. Percision Aim is the ****

I turned my system off and let it download that way. I dunno if that makes it go faster, but mine finished after a few simpsons episodes.

WOW, your connection BLOWS. Mine finished in less than an hour.

I think the game is fun, but i dont know, i thinks it a little too over the top. I also wanted some hand to hand kung fu ass kickery. It also seems like the game will get kind of repetitive after awhile, just running thro each level blasting ppl, imo, will get boring after awhile. The MP looks like it could be cool tho. I think ill give it a rent when it drops.

It was a really fun demo, but I probably won't buy it. There are too many other games coming out that are more my style.

I know! Did anyone else shoot your enemy in the balls? lol

Before I played the demo I didn't know it had MP. Looks fun. But yeah the connections you guys have just are bad. My 360 is in my room with my laptop which has a wireless connection to the internet through a router two floors below it and I have the 360 network cable plugged in to the laptop in order to have internet connection to it. I could have just got the wireless adapter for about $100 but I figured lets try it with the cable they gave me with the system. My download (and pretty much every demo I have downloaded) finished in about 20 minutes. Mercy!
Not sure what you guys are doing wrong.

God this cracks me up mine to about half an hour to download. This reminds when a friend called to remind me to download the halo beta. he started a hour before me and i finished a half hour later and was playing while he was still downloading. but the demo was fun it might be a strong rental maybe a buy with the ps3 version for the movie

There was a problem with Live supplying the download, but now it's fixed. Should take about an average time now.

I didn't have any problems at all. I think some people just have weak connections or something.

I gotta say,..(hate to be a hater)I'm super disappointed in this game.Granted the environments are great as have been stated. But cinematically?..bunk.Is anyone really diggin those stand-off "bullet time"in game events??The slow- mo is good if you can see enough bad guys to get Tequila "Flowing" right.Even after I completed the demo the first time, and they show that long clip of game play-I found myself thinking-"This looks like a super bada$$ game!,..oh wait, I just played that!"

I'm going to keep an open mind and try to get use to the controls. But right now hes just not flowing right. And the "A John Woo film"aspect came up short.I do it to myself all the time tho-HIGH hopes end up getting let DOWN

Im going to pass on the demo...

Im going to pass on the demo...

That's a stupid thing to say. It's a demo, it's free, why do you feel the need to say "I'll pass on it." like it'd be a big inconvenience to download it.

Because I already put a budget on the games I will buy! If I play the demo and I like it, than there goes 60 bucks that I could have used for food:o Food > Stranglehold Demo

If your willpower is that low the first step is admitting you have a problem...

Its has nothing to do with willpower! I have very poor impulse control. I act before I think alot of times so its best me not to play the demo at all! Example couple of weeks ago my friend was playing Fight Night round 3 at a friends house and loved it! I used to have that game but I sold it! But anyways the following the day I went to like 4 blockbusters looking for a used game for Fight Night Round 3!!! Lucky for me none was available!!! Damn my impulses!!! Took me the next day to realize I dont even like boxing!!!

I have the same problem. That is why I stopped playing the BioShock Demo.:o

The demo is definately fun. The game, is well, exactly what I expected it to be. In terms of action, controls, etc. But I have to say I love it. It's just a straight shoot em up action game with the help of John Woo. I actually think the MP will be really fun, I'm wondering what other characters you'll be able to play as in MP. I know John Woo is one, but I was kind of hoping for some characters from his other movies...you know, as Easter Eggs for the fans. I know we wouldn't get them, but it's still a nice thought.

So after playing the demo, is anyone a definate on getting the game? I'd love to do some MP with other members.

First review! 8.1 out of 10 :D

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/817/817191p1.html

8.5 Presentation
It feels like you’re playing a John Woo flick. Which, of course, is the whole point. Lots of extra DVD-style content as well.
7.5 Graphics
It's a hefty feat to have almost every object in these large environments destructible. But it's impossible to ignore the mediocre animations and generic character models.
7.5 Sound
If Midway really wanted this to sound authentic, it would have had the actors speak Cantonese. The cacophony of gunshots in every environment is awesome.
8.0 Gameplay
Most of the time you are tasked with diving and shooting. That's when Stranglehold is at its best. If only interacting with the environment wasn't so hit and miss.
6.0 Lasting Appeal
The single-player adventure is short, but it's so much fun, many will come back for seconds. Lackluster multiplayer is worth at least one go-around just for kicks.

Well it's twice as good as Lair... but... I'm still not interested. :(
