The following is the script to the film I am about to begin filming for film school, the story takes place on a college campus:
EXT. DEMPSTER
We open to a CLOSE UP of a teenage guy looking towards the screen gradually pull back to reveal that this is JACOB LANCASTER (19).
Jake walks in the direction of the student center. MARK (19) walks his way.
Mark walks straight past him, forcing him aside in the process, completely oblivious to Jakes presence.
Jake is disturbed by this and looks towards Mark walking away.
He shrugs it off, reaches into his pocket and takes out his wallet. He opens the wallet and takes out a picture of JESSICA (19), he flips it over to see a note reading: STUDENT CENTER. 11/20/07. 4 PM.
Jake puts the picture back into his wallet and into his pocket and takes off running towards the student center- no one notices.
INT. STUDENT CENTER CAMPUS SIDE
Jake walks through the campus side of the student center and onto the connecting archway.
EXT. STUDENT CENTER BRIDGE
Establishing shot of the student center bridge archway.
INT. STUDENT CENTER- CENTER SIDE
Jake walks off of the bridge and sees Jessica and BRIAN (19) waiting. He approaches them and walks around them to see that they are- crying! He tries to ask whats wrong, they dont acknowledge him. Jake looks at them disturbed and tries to get their attention. Nothing works.
Jake jumps into the middle of the student center and screams
JAKE
Can anybody see me?!!!!
No one pays attention. Jake begins to feel dizzy and disoriented. He glances behind his back to see that something happened outside- some kind of accident! Jake walks out of the student center.
EXT. STUDENT CENTER
He sees people looking in the general direction of the parking lot beside the student center. Jake looks, he sees- a car accident! Somebody was hit.
He runs down the ramp towards the parking lot
He begins to get flashes as if remembering the crash one moment at a time
FLASH CUT:
INT. CAR- FLASHBACK
KEVIN (19) enters car and turns on ignition. We see a Law Book on the passenger seat.
FLASH CUT:
EXT. STUDENT CENTER
Andrew continues to stare on in shock as he approaches the crash.
FLASH CUT:
EXT. STUDENT CENTER- FLASHBACK
POV. VICTIM
Car backs up rapidly.
FLASH CUT:
EXT. STUDENT CENTER
Jake continues to watch on in horror.
FLASH CUT:
EXT. STUDENT CENTER- FLASHBACK
The car rams into a student!
FLASH CUT:
EXT. STUDENT CENTER
Jake begins to feel a sharp pain and sickness as he looks down at the corpse of a dead student revealing that
Jake died in the crash! Jakes a ghost! He looks down at the corpse and at the driver tending to the body, hoping to god that Jake is still alive.
Ghost Jake fades out of existence
[FADE TO BLACK]
