A while ago, it dawned on me that to most of the current generation of Chinese people, the concept of siblings is pretty foreign. It's pretty messed up to think that most of China's young people don't even know what it's like to have brothers and sisters. I heard a study a while ago that suggested that internet / MMO addiction in China was on the rapid rise because so many kids have no-one their age to interact with at home.
Makes sense, I usually play a lot more video games when I'm single and with this shortage of girls, boys are much more likely to be single.
