This week, a brave Catholic priest came out against the villainous young children who tempt pedophiles, telling a TV reporter the true victims are the priests, who sometimes give up under the relentless barrage of underage temptation.
The comments were broadcast on Italian TV, and like many visionariesand nutcasesbefore him, his thoughts were not well-received. Via UPI:
The Rev. Gino Flaim said he understands pedophilia as an attempt by children to find affection.
He told Italys La7 television channel, Ive been to lots of schools, and I know children. Unfortunately there are children who seek affection because they dont receive it at home and I understand that some priests can give up. Pedophilia is a sin, and like all sins has to be accepted.
The priest wasunderstandablyless forgiving when asked about homosexuality, explaining that, unlike the rape of a child, consensual sex between two men is a disease.
Hes since been suspended, essentially setting the pedophilia movement back, though one suspects he wont be the last to defend them. As for the gayswell, there are some things even the church cant get behind.
