Story Idea : LUKE CAGE:

I'd like a situation where Sumbody puts a costume on him:

"Manhattan Bank, Late afternoon,... Cage is depositing cash from the Bar weaing his wife-beater sweatpants combo with shades and an Ipod.

He just gets his reciept from the teller when a bank robber steps up with a gun and tells everyone to get down on the ground and motions the tellers to start passing money across the counter.

Seeing Luke not getting down,.. in fact Luke is frowning and walking in his direction,.. The robber seeing no "supersuit" declares Cage a dead hero and starts firing.

6 bullets later,.. robber is out and imobilized with straps and luke is taking a telivision interview with only whats left of his sweat bottoms.

"So Mr. Cage,... Why do we always see you in rags?"

(Cage joking as he waves her off and heads for the door)
"Silk is expensive."

The next day the New Avengers PO BOx is filled with packages from average citizens, and a few corporations like Roxon, all containing clothing roughly in Cages Size and letters thanking him for sacrificing his clothing for a good cause.

The new Avengers get a laugh at Lukes expense as they go thru the stuff and find everything from Armor to a yellow and black TuTu."

thats nothing
he gets a spare red kung fu uniform from his pal IRON FIST [ danny donned the red suit when he was dying of radiation poisoning luke likes it and makes THAT his uniform:ninja:

Return of the New Warriors:

Namorita - Thrown by the Blast into a fresh water Catfish Farm 5 miles away while the owner was out on vacation and his workers were slacking off instead of caring for the fish.

She Is blind and Sleeps and eats from the bottom of the "pond" currently too damaged to breath air.

She is discovered by Either the Runaways on walkabout or The Young Avengers in search of the remaining new warriors.

Slingers: Once a Slinger...

Johnny is living the good life in L.A. he's living with his best friend, who he would like to be closer to. He doesn't really have to do any super-heroing. He has no secrets in his past... he thinks. Excelsior goes up against a group of villains with the same costumes and powers as the Slingers. Johnny quickly figures out that they made a deal with Mephisto, just like Black Marvel did. This time Mephisto imbued them with power. Johnny is freaked out at first, but helps Excelsior to put them down.

Eddie is recruited by Stark Tech into their infamous R&D division where he meets up with Fabian Stankowicz, Johnathan Ohnn, and warlock. there he rebuilds his Hornet armor just to see if he can. he winds up doning it once more however when Stark Towers, where he works, is attacked by a group consisting of Toad, Armadillo, A bunny woman formerly of the Ani-Men, and Shocker. They claim to be the New Masters of Evil. With the Avengers half way across the country the they are met by the R&D division, Jarvis (Slinging a silver serving tray like Cap would a shield) and Jessica Jones wielding her diaper bag.

Cassie St.Commons remained at ESU going for a psychology degree. she is now a peer councelor and is approached by her boss, who mysteriously knows of her history as a super hero. he tells her she's been "volunteered" as the teacher of the newest class: Super-Hero 101. Her class includes Gravity, a girl named Black Light, and a boy named Peacekeeper. She faces her own adequacy issues while taking three students under wing.

Prodigy, now a prisoner in the infamous 42, is making friends. they are planning the most daring and probably most insane break-out the world has ever known. will they succeed? With Prodigy as their leader they had better.

a monthly series idea:

Reedemers

(I have posted this before, in others threads like this one, but here it is again)

Dead villians like Cyber, Harry Osborne, Kraven, Destiny, Living Monolith, Mysterio, Baron Blood, and others, must complete missions smiliar to the Exiles (only different) in order to redeem their souls and prove they are worthy of passing into heaven (or whatever lies beyond).
If they fail, die before they complete their missions, or if they rebel or try to take over the team, they are cast out of the team and sent into hell or erased from existance forever.
Leading the team is a former hero, died too soon, the original Thunderstrike (or the X-Men). His powers have been boosted and he has been given new mystical powers (sort of like the Specter) to help keep the team in check.

The roster is rotating, with some villians passing into the Beyond or being cast into nothingness and new dead villians taking their place.

This book would give Marvel the chance to keep using villians they have killed off, like Cyber, without bringing them back from the dead.
Also,
This would be a great study in character, showing a monster like Cyber (a vicious psychopathic killer) become a true hero like Spider-Man (constantly putting EVERYONE else's needs in front of his own, and risking his life to save another's).

And I have the title of the first arc:

Reedemers: Closure

The Spot: Concentric Circles

The Spot accidently falls out of synch with our reality and into another one where there are heroes he never heard of, villains he never heard of and rules he can play by. the only problem is that there is a villain out there with the same powers as him, and the same codename as him. This villain has been murdering and raping his way through the city in a sadistic spree of blood. now the Spot has to catch the killer to keep a target off of his own back.

Alex Powers: Hey It's That Guy

Alex is has graduated high school and is starting his first year at West Point. The only problem is no one in his classes is taking him seriously as it's well known he's a super-hero. With his youngest sister writing him daily with the most embarassing questions, his brother getting into trouble, and his other sister having abandoned the family, how can Alex have a normal life?

Julie Power: Make Me A Star!

Julie's acting career is actually starting to take off. The problem is this is causing her to neglect her duty to Excelsior. The Upside is that she has a dreamy co-star who is interested in her. The Down side is that she doesn't realize she's breaking Johnny's heart. What life will Julie choose? hero or starlet? Guest appearance by Mary-Jane Watson-Parker\

The Hood: God Forsaken

He's a cop killer. He's a theif. He's being slowly possesed by the demonic items he wears constantly. He's a widower before he got the chance to be a husband. He's an addict to a poisonous woman. He's a dedicated cousin. Where is Parker Robbins to turn when all the chips are down? Why is there a psychopath hunting him? Didn't he kill that demon he keeps seeing? Who is this beautiful mutant woman he just met? Mom?!

The Hood: God Forsaken

Parker Robins has been able to keep himself out of papers, and avoid being seen too much. he keeps to petty robbery and tries his best NOT to kill people. his girlfriend and her new born child were killed in gang cross fire. Parker destroyed what was left of the gang. the case was ruled "Public Service Murder". His cousin was sent to prison on various drug charges. One night as Parker is running from the psycho that has lately been showing up where ever he does when he's in costume, he takes refuge in a strange shop called "Nicodemus" There is a blind woman behind the counter who greets him. the woman is old and withered. She calls Parker "Obsokria; The Unseen". When Parker is sufficiantly assured that the psycho has been ditched he gets ready to leave when he sees a book open on a podium showing a picture of the demon he "killed".

The Demon is known as "Morstak" he is an assassin demon sent out to destroy threats to the throne of hell. He never attempts to attack random people, only those who pose a true threat to the heirarchy of hell. Parker steals the book, but after he leaves the woman says to the empty shop, "Enjoy your read Obsokria, it will be most enlightening."

He finally reads about a demon he THINKS the Morstak was sent to kill. and Obsokria, able to absorb the powers of other demons. an Obsokria can only be created when a royal demon lays with a mortal woman. the mortal woman will be forever scarred in ways no human can recognize.

Parker returns to where he has been staying, with his hooker. she allows him to sleep on her couch so long as he is gone when she has to work. In his dream he has a vision of himself as he appeared the night he killed the guards in the AIM gear on the roof, but it wasn't people he was tormenting. he was standing shoulder to shoulder with Hellstrom, and they were laughing as they tormented Dormammu. Parker awoke in a cold sweat. He left as he knew the hooker had an early appointment. He donned his hood and shoes and headed back to the store, but it was gone, he was, instead, confronted with the psycho calling herself "White Fang". as the woman grazed him with the blade, he once again tapped in to the lightening spell he did before, detonating her equipment, leaving her bleading in the street, handless and crippled.

he took off. he was grabbed into an alley by a stranger. she introduced herself as Aqua. she said she was among the 127, the mutants that refused to be relocated to Xaviers. She ran a safe house and invited him, mistakenly believing him to be a mutant after what she witnessed. as they talked, Parker and Aqua began to flirt. he didn't correct her assumption that he was a mutant, but left promising to return and visit her again.

Parker went to visit his mother, after storing the cloak and shoes in his bag, and tell her about his week. when he said the name Obsokria, she looked right at him, something she hadn't done in years. she began to babble and apology before orderlies forced Parker from the room refusing to tell him what was going on.

Parker returned to the hooker's door. he heard her speaking within. "He is not home right now, but he will return. He has been sleeping on my couch these past few months. rather sad, his lover and his child gunned down for no reason."

then a man's voice replied. "And he doesn't know you've been talking to us?"

the hooker laughed, "He is a sweet boy, with sweet little notions of loyalty, but I am not so sweet. I does not know."

"And you have no problem with what we're asking of you?" he asked.

"I like him," she admitted, "Like an owner likes their pet, but the boy is not worth angering someone who actually has power."

Parker turned away from the door. he had no where to go, until he recalled Aqua.

I like the Spot idea, I'd work on that one Z, has potential.
