Sue's Look: What do you think?

So, up front, I'm gay. So I was never getting in line to salivate over Jessica Alba.

She's obviously sexy. That's not what this is about.

Having said that, is it me or does she look odd in the trailers and promotional material for FF2?

The hair and the (what look like) purple eyes... It's weird.

She looked beautiful in the first film... It could have looked a bit more natural, but in the sequel it looks like they went in the far opposite direction of 'natural'.

Just a thought... wondering what guys who are Alba fans think, or if they even care.

She's awesome, but she looks very odd in all the trailers, especially the horrid final trailer. I was willing to give FF2 a chance, but that trailer was really cheesy and Alba's brief appearances looked like a flawed clone.

So they are going to fight The Silver Surfer the whole movie until he realizes earth must be saved not destroyed. We already know Doom is a joke, so where is the satisfaction of the villian/hero dynamic going to come from? Doom will get SS powers, but we've seen it the whole movie anyway. So they go from fighting SS, to Doom with SS's powers. That is the lamest plot, devoid of any imagination. If we are left with a hint of Galactus the last 10 minutes, is that going to satisfy? Especially if he's a cloud?

I think they've done the classic sequal things with her appearance...given her the longer hair that's more prosthetic in colour (for example, the platinum blonde), and they've been less subtle with the eye colour when using contacts.

Yep, I sure do. Alba just doesn't come across as a Sue Storm. Nope, not at all.

maybe ms alba was under the weather when the poster pic was taken and her reaction to her medication made her look strange

LOL. After seeing a few TV spots, I'm disliking her look less. She definitely does look more "Caucasian".

yeah... i think they did kinda push her more in that 'Hitler Youth' direction, except with purple eyes.

It's just annoying to take an actress, go OUT OF YOUR WAY to make her blond with blue eyes in the first, and then take it WAY further with the purple eyes in the second...

they overshot it think.

In the trailer and ads she looks the most strange when her hair is down and when she's in her blue FF suit, since you can compare the blue in her clothes to the purple in her eyes....

but i haven't seen the movie... maybe they TURN purple due to her 'encounter with the surfer'... but probably not.
