Suggest me some games

what are some of the better PS3 titles? My system should be coming between July 20-23 and I'll have nothing. I was thinking of getting Virtua Fighter but while great, Im not into the series like that, and prefer 3D fighters like Tekken and SC to it. I've heard great things about Ninja Gaiden Sigma, so Im thinking of checking that out bc I do like action games. Is Resistance, really as great as everyone says it is? Im not a big fan of console FPS at all. I think Timesplitters Future Perfect was one of the few exceptions.

I just need some help, bc I just ordered this system and looking at its current lineup, I fail to see many games that Id be willing to drop $60 bucks on. Shoot its hard to drop that much on any game being as Ive never had to pay so much for one title before ever. I can count the amount of games that interest me on 1 hand, but fortunetly I see alot of promise this fall and beyond

I guess games like Resistance is ok as far as shooters go but if you want real lengthy gaming experience I guess Oblivion is a good option. NG: S is as good a place to start for some solid action games. If you've got a Credit Card, $9.90 to spare and a SOLID internet connection, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is a very good choice especially if they get the Online up.

Resistance is a great game. The online battles are where it's at. Motorstorm and Oblivion are good starts also. Ninja Gaiden just came out and is really cool. Best thing to do is, download all the demos for these games when your PS3 comes in see for your self. Congrats on getting the system.

Give Virtua Fighter 5 a shot. You might be pleasantly surprised. I was always a Tekken player, and still am to this day, but Virtua Fighter 5 is still a great 3D fighter. Virtua Fighter has that extra depth to it, both in terms of the fight system, and in terms of general customisation. Building up your character and getting new customisations will keep you playing for a long time.

Well Virtua Fighter is amazing but it's best experienced if you have people to play it with who aren't clueless about fighting games.

Aside from that Resistance is very rough around the edges but ultimately a rewarding game. Motorstorm is a decent distraction but the core race mode isn't very fun, though you'll probably find yourself playing the motorstorm demo an awful lot.

There will eb a Heavenly Sword demo soon, aand since you like action fighting games Ninja Gaiden is probably a shoe in.

Same question for me, but my favorite kinds of games are RPG's and FPS's. Ive beat oblivion on PC, and the reason i want a PS3 is obviously the games coming in 08 (MGS, possibly FF13), but i want something to show me what my money is getting me. Resistance is a shoe in, but what else guys?

Folklore is an RPG that got decent reviews in Japan, though it didn't sell so well.
