Our ten-year-old projector TV is beginning to die out, with lines slowly becoming visible on the screen, so my family is now considering what TV to buy. Since we haven't purchased a TV in a decade, I'm not very knowledgeable about what television we should buy, but here are a few things that we would like as features:

    - Preferably LCD, and no Plasma TV.
    - Smart TV, or TV that can download from the Internet
    - Around $1,000, but it depends on the features

Since we are living in a slow economy right now, we are hoping to get a great deal on a flat-screen that won't break our bank account. If you guys have any suggestions or know what websites to visit for info, please share it here. Thanks all!

I have Samsung and it is still the best flat screen TV's out there. My dad got an LG LED flat screen and it's pretty nice.

I plan on getting an LED at the end of the month so I'm def gonna look at Samsung and LG first.

How reputable are the LED tvs made by Westinghouse? I saw a 32' slim one at Bestbuy for a nice price & at first glance it looks great. Anyway, just wondering.....
