I'm fairly confident that it already exists.

Rick Flagg's father was in the first Suicide Squad so his presence is a sign that there's already history.

I too think that we should start the film en media res. Deadshot, Flagg and Boomer are on mission, with other villains that all bite it. Flagg and the rest return to Waller and the newer members are brought in and we begin the main plot of the film.

How would y'all feel about Joker and Lex being co-Hannibal Lectors in this? Like, both are in prisoner in the same place, and they hatch a plan to get free that necessitates them manipulating Waller and the Squad in some way? They don't appear much and don't go on the missions themselves, but the product of their "consultation" for the group is breakout of Belle Reve or where ever they are being held?

Eh, I'd prefer Lex not be in prison, and I'd prefer Lex not willingly ally himself with Joker. My best bet on Lex's role is him working with Waller or possibly the Squad's target.

Many don't like him as an actor, and if he fails in Terminator, many more will be fine with Waller eliminating the Boomerang, time will tell.

Many don't like him as an actor, and if he fails in Terminator, many more will be fine with Waller eliminating the Boomerang, time will tell.

"Many" think he will be just fine as supporting character like Boomerang. I compare him to Channing Tatum and Jason Statham acting wise...just not as well known as of yet. Don't need a Oscar caliber actor for Boomerang. Just need a guy who can do the action and look good doing it.
