Lemme guess, you don't like rap in general.

Love rap actually but not generic crappy rap that gives real rap a bad name. Both of the 2 songs released have been garbage in my honest opinion, but they don't have to be good, they just need to promote the film and if they do that then it's all good.

I love rap, but the Lil Wayne & Co. song is pretty bad, yeah.

On a side note, I really love Twenty One Pilots' Heathens (which of course isn't rap). Very cool song!

Twenty one pilots isn't really my kind of music but I'll take that over that crappy knock off Maroon 5 sounding song from last night... Yeesh!

If BvS/X-Men were deemed too long this seems a bit too short. Unless this isn't official, its his shortest film to date.

Test Screenings had better not have cheapened this movie to just a silly action movie with no depth.

Deadpool was just focused on 1 character and was a longer movie.

Man. I hope WB isn't so focused on making this a popcorn flick that it cut out a bit too much.
(Unless thats how Ayer wanted it or maybe the extra scenes he directed just didn't work)
I mean test screenings were already saying that [BLACKOUT]Katanna, Boomerang, Joker [/BLACKOUT] etc were needing more time.

How can there be so much discussion about the depth of these characters and its basically a 90 minute movie without credits. I hope that run time is wrong, but I really might have to lower my expectations now.

I mean the story is supposedly rather thin/basic as well...at least have a lot of character development..

Too short. I'll probably leave the theater wanting some characters to be fleshed out. But as long as it's good, I'll be fine even if I'm left feeling hungry for more. Then for SS2 they can look to go 2 hours

I dont mind a shorter, faster paced movie that just gets straight to the point. But...90 mins does seems a bit TOO short. If this was like 1hr 50mins, I'd be ok with that.

Well I meant more along the lines of LOTR- where the TC are more than enough needed to tell the story with an already decent runtime, and the Extended Cuts being more for the fans- not that we need Extended Cuts to properly tell the story

Example: I think the UC of BVS should have been released theatrically, with an even more extended cut being released on Blu-ray

And yes, I do think the 1h40min runtime is a bit absurd considering how much they seem to be doing with this movie. And judging by Ayer's usually absurd amount of deleted scenes, I'm sure there was A TON more footage.

Even GOTG was 20 minutes longer.

You said it right there. This story is straight to the point. Did I expect it to be at least two hours long? Yes, but if this means Ayer was hoping to put out a fast-paced, tight movie then I'm game.

Runtime wasn't the issue with either of those though.
Those particular movies probably seemed like they were dragging on too long actually.
