2019 I think. Could be a rough 3 years waiting for that one if the other films keep going the same direction as MOS, BVS, and SS.

Damn. While I love the DCEU, it's really disheartening to see this kind of bashing.

Here's hoping WW manages to wow people. The way I see it, critical success for DCEU rides on the shoulders of Jenning, Affleck and Wan.

I remember just a few months ago when Ayer was on that list, hmmmm I wonder who is next to fall of that list of saviour of the DCCU Jenking perhaps?

Visually Leto's Joker looks really poor, but if it's true that it goes beyond that into the performance, Afflecks solo bat film may already be facing a real uphill battle because you know his story is likely to involve a lot of Joker

It's quite simple. DC and Warner Bros. never wanted to make the shared universe film series. After The Avengers, it pretty much forced them to.

Think about it. Didn't back in the day we dream about the Nolan Batman becoming part of a shared universe with Superman and other characters? Nolan put a stop to that. He simply wouldn't allow it. They decided to reboot Superman again and suddenly decided, "OK now we will make our own shared universe." They never wanted to take the time and effort to do it before, despite the fact that Warner Bros. owns DC Comics and they have access to that whole library. Marvel Studios/Disney don't even have that benefit.

Even if I'm wrong, it's a point of frustration for me that i feel like DCE/Warner Bros. only started this out of reaction to Marvel.

And you know what else? Nolan did a good job but I will say this. It's another point of frustration for me that he never wanted to try it or supervise it himself. He closed off his Batman universe forever and said "You can look but you can't touch." Now maybe that's for the better, but I'm still frustrated that he had to close things off and there could never be DC movies along with his films.

You guys do realise that ultimately whether we get more DCEU movies depend on whether the fans like this movie and want more and whether it makes a lot of money. These two things can still happen.SS is poised for a 125mil+ OW and a possible 600 mil + global. And most of the youtubers and comicbook fan sites have given it favourable reviews so far.Lets see how the opening weekend goes (And see the movies ourselves) before jumping to conclusions.

The pressure for Jenkins to perform now is enormous. I'd hate for her to lose opportunities on future projects if WW fails to perform in light of 3 failures in a row. (Plus it's really only her second film as well)

Like I said, if I dislike SS I will see Wonder Woman in 2017 but that will be the last DC film I see in theaters until WB gets it's act together.

Jenkins, people. Patty Jenkins.

Miller's Justice League movie was planned before Iron Man was even released.

The main complaint seems to be there is not enough Joker in Suicide Squad so that would be remedied there

Haha there are only so many saviours we can have.

So if you dislike SS,will you stop following Justice League?

WB did not help matters when they attempted to do the George Miller Justice League while Nolan's series was still going on. He and Bale shut that thing down in a hurry. The Miller JLA might have turned out a lot better than what we're getting from Snyderverse. But the timing was terrible on WB's part.

I don't buy into the argument they were forced into it, I think Nolan really championed to keep these characters separate and for a brief period they listened to him, but once MoS go the reaction it got things changed. I believe if MoS was even 15% better received we are talking a completely different situation, Superman gets a brand new trilogy, Batman gets rebooted a few years after, and Wonder Woman gets her movie soon after. As for Nolan, he earned the right to do things his way with Batman, once TDK and Inception hit there was little choice but to allow Nolan to put an end to his story.

Justice League movie was just a Justice League movie that would've had its own Batman and completely unconnected to Nolan's movies that were already going on at the time. Iron Man already wrapped at the time, and MCU already basically started in its earliest stages in 2006.

And yet, Batman v Superman got an even worse reception than Man of Steel.

No way. That script was nightmarishly bad. Also most of the castings were a bit suspect.

I'm already extremely skeptical of Justice League so if Suicide Squad isn't good then my hope for DC will be on life support.

Oh yeah.

I think jmc meant that they panicked when Man of Steel didn't perform at the box office like they hoped. They went for the easy cash grab adding Batman to the sequel instead of doing a Superman sequel by itself. It was a lazy decision and of course that shows in the film itself.

Well that's what they get for making a Superman that's more like Batman instead of Superman. Excuse me, Snyder just "growing up the characters."

I am not saying that's what ISS is saying but could you blame someone if they took that stance? There is only so many chances you can give before you say enough, as ridiculous as a bold stance like that might seem people are getting fed up.
