Critics were always gonna be harsh on this movie. Look at the tone of the goddamn trailers. Do you really think a critic, someone who has studied the art of film for life, someone who admires things like the kuleshov effect or chekov's gun, was gonna dig the fun, goofy DC movie?

It was certainly possible.

Also are critics really telling me I'm gonna enjoy Suicide Squad less than Incredible Hulk?

Since when does RT tell people what to think? The vitriol some of you have towards a website is interesting.

Stuckmann gave it a 'C'. Not sure that classifies as liking it.
Of course it does. C is a pass on any scale. You don't say i don't like this movie, I give it a C!

What the **** why are people now trying to turn decent reviews into bad?

I'm guessing that some hypesters here signed that petition too. :o

D is below average, C is above average. Passing. It counts as a positive review in my eyes. I personally wouldn't give a C to a film I disliked.

i.e.: I'd give the new Ghostbusters a C, it was disappointing, but I still enjoyed myself watching it. Would I watch it again, sure, but it's nothing special.

I watched his video, he certainly didn't seem to be overly thrilled with the film.

I was referring to one particular review that mentioned the first 3 MCU films (IM, Hulk, IM2) in comparison to the first 3 DCEU movies. It said how the MCU intro completely outshone the DCEU intro. I'm aware RT doesn't give you an indication on quality and instead tells you the average.

He listed things he like and didn't like. And resolved it into a C. You are never overly thrilled with a movie you give a C rating to. Hence the C rating.

C usually represents the percentage of 70-79% B is 80-89, with A being 90-100.

This counts as fresh if you look at it from a n RT standpoint. It's still positive either way. Well should be considered positive.

Me:

"Who the hell is Chris Stuckmann and why should I care?"

:woot:

Disappointing is now considered a positive statement apparently.

Civil War was disappointing. Doesn't mean it was a bad film.

Personal expectations play a large part in disappointment as well.

Until I see a tonal.shift and.better writing, I'm not going to be sold on Johns having any major influence on the movies.

Hell, he is known for not characterizing batman and WW very well, so even then it may not.be a positive if he's helping write.

This film is gonna have an uphill battle without China's BO, especially if the drop is huge next week

along with Stuckmann many critics are criticizing choppy editing.
what's with WB and choppy editing?

Sigh.

Here we are talking about whether a C is a good review or not.

What a fine state this DCEU is certainly in, when that's a topic of discussion. When we're not mentioning Bs or As, but only discussing whether an average score is good or bad.

idk, but that is what stand out to me the most. what is with this. is it last minute studio involvement that ends up butchering these films ???
