That would definitely be nice. I hope they focus on actiony stuff like that to amp up the Superbowl crowd. There's obviously more to the movie, but 30 seconds isn't much time to give an impression of the family drama and romance and everything.

Or not. The lightning wave attack was enough for the trailers. Leave something big for the movie.

Yeah, best to leave the really cool stuff for the movie itself. I don't want to go to the theater and realize I saw everything good in the trailers already.

It's really arguable that the "lightning shockwave" was really the hammer's power, I can still see your point even though I was talking more about Thor actually lifting a heavy object.

Two displays of power really wouldn't be "that much", certainly not enough to ruin the movie experience.

I watched The Green Hornet (2D) a few hours ago and I saw Thor's trailer. It looked even better with the movie theater picture quality.

There's been nothing to indicate Thor's level of strength in the movie or ability for battle w/o the hammer. While I would like to see them illustrate Thor's Class 100 level strength, I think they are trying to downplay Thor's strength so it will make the Hulk look more impressive when he beats him in The Avengers. So far, Thor doesn't stack up to Hulk as Marvel wants to show inthe animated features and I imagine (unfortunately), they will keep this streak going in the Avengers film.

They HAVE said Thor will be at Mortal Strength without Mjolnir on Earth, just HIGHLY skilled as a fighter.

Yeah Marvel is starting to piss me off with that, I mean c'mon Hulk's had more than enough shine against Thor. It only seems right that they would realise that Hulk isn't the only one with fans, Thor has fans as well.

I'm fine with Hulk being the "strongest" of the Avengers, I just hope they show that Thor is strong enough to atleast be in Hulk's league.

Besides, all we've seen from Thor's film is one trailer and while it is a good trailer it doesn't show much action at all. So who knows, it's not too late to hope for a super-strong Thor.
